  • It's not just ABC/ESPN, you need a little more to kill this league. You need bad and boring basketball, horrible coverage and a dictator of a commissioner.

    The San Antonio Eva Longor....err Spurs, ABC/ESPN and David Stern

    AKA the NBA Axis of Evil

    Sucking the life and drama out of the NBA since 2003

    All we need is great teams, great rivalries and great basketball and that can overcome to two headed monster of ABC/ESPN and David Stern.

  • Actually, the contract goes until the 2015-2016 season. Which is BULLSHIT!! Good ridence ESPN/ABC, you are going to expect a BIG decline over the next eight years.

  • I like it a lot. I'm hyped for this game and it already happened. That's what ABC lacks completely. They have zero ability in getting me excited for a game, for real. TNT's isn't too bad. ESPN's is iffy. But ABC's just plain sucks with that "Right now" crap.

  • great video, I get a rush every time I watch it and wonder what if. Only one criticism which is you need more Heat clips to balance it out. The Kobe buzzer beater is great and invigorating but the Heat won the title, rhere should be a full audio+live tv clip of Miami clinching the title in Dallas to remind the viewer who has the crown. But definitely keep the Kobe clip either way.

  • ABC has done by far the worst job ever covering a sport in the NBA. i mean wow they really dont know how to do it. i used to watch nbc even if i didnt care for the teams. now i can barely watch abc when my team is on there.

  • Very well said. Can't get people excited about the game if you can't introduce it well. That was made the transition from CBS to NBC so good back in the early 1990s: They saw the power of the intro, and played it for what it was worth.
