  • Some surprising omissions here. No actor symbolizes the golden age of Hollywood more than the great Tyrone Power. He was idolized all over the world from the late 30's to his death in 1958 at age 44. What about June Allyson, Van Johnson, Alan Ladd, Lana Turner?? I was fortunate to have lived through that fabulous, incomparable era of glitz and glamour that disappeared from Hollywood long ago. Fortunately we have DVDs and videos like this to keep these great stars alive in our memories!

  • Where is Charles Laughton?

  • This was great! All of those pictures must have been a lot of work! And I love that you picked one of my favorite songs from my favorite musical! :)

  • Beautiful homage to Hollywood's Golden age. Loved the pic of Norma Shearer and the 2 pix of Ronald Colman..a super star if there ever was one.

Gordon MacRae and Shirley Jones blend so beautifully. What a pity that voices of this quality are seldom heard these days. These 2 could s i n g...and what diction!

    Thanks!

  • Maureen O'Hara will always be the most beautiful women I ever saw in the movies. From young woman to full maturity, her charm and grace never changed.

MacCrae and Jones will always be my favorite duet. Oklahoma the movie I still turn to for a love story.
