See you just proved my point, Brian may is a legend and Finck is relatively unknown. So you base your opinion on that without objectively listening. And after chinese democracy has been out for a while, finck will be better known. The solo wasnt one of brians best anyway, it was more like a 10 second bridge than a solo. So I am not saying Finck is better than May, I am just saying the new solo is better.

My opinion has nothing to do with rock n' roll stature. Finck is not a very good guitarist and is not worth being mentioned with Slash or Buckethead. It's kind of funny that he ditched GNR a 2nd time. Axl should have kept Brian May's work intact, it was much better than the garbage finck and bumble contributed to this song.

Well then lets take neither opinion as fact. After all music is subjective. I like Fincks solo much more, as I said to me May's is more like a 10 second bridge than a solo. And I also think bumble's outro is one of the greatest moments in guitar history (future history).

Hmmmmm... there are some moments I like the album version better, but overall I think this demo is nicer overall. The music isn't mixed as much in the demo. Seems like the album version throws heavier guitar riffs in odd spots. Especially in the intro and the midpoint of the song around the 2:00 minute mark.

The funny thing is even Slash said he liked the album. He was asked in an interview and he could have said "no I havent heard it yet" if he wanted to be polite, but no. Slash went on to say the album was great and Axl is a Genius!
