Honestly, dude - with all due respect, I would've removed the 'c' clip, put in a follower and re-pinned with the new key in less time than it took you to BANG out the old pins! You should take your teacher to the woodpile. I've heard of old school but, SHEESH, what a convoluted waste of time. I don't get it. Why not just do it the normal way? Are you so afraid to take off the clip? Sorry, I'm not trying to make fun - just trying to understand.
that is my fav way but if you want top pins changed then you have to tear it apart

It may take longer but it's less likely to cause more problems which, in the end, will take much more time.
