  • wat about reaper?

  • no i ment just chopping pieces of audio, rearanging them, drawing quick volume envelopes transposing them and quickly finding the right groove.. you know, finding ideas, timestretch is also great in cubase.. but its just this bit i miss, in other cases i am completely satisfied with Ableton

  • @iluvtrance69 i know all of that, i work with ableton almost 3 years now, i abandoned cubase because of Live, but audioediting is smoother and faster in cubase.. thats it

  • yes ableton can do anything and more, but for me, working with audio is much quicker in cubase... the ability to quickly make volume envelopes just by dragging corner is great speed up.. i hate to go inside clip in ableton and drawing envelope there and drawing absolute automation is not so handy as in cubase.. maybe i shouldnt write best (thats really subjective).. but quickest for sure

  • i like both.. cubase has best direct audio editing workflow out there.. you can do everything in ableton (or any other daw) but not so quick and efficient

motorized touch sensitive fader is cool.. but the price... i got APC

  • excellent im getting mine live's sound engine sucks ass thats what matters
