Easily the best acting performance in film history could go to Bjork for this movie. She was so convincing and natural, plus the Dogme 95 aspect of the film made it feel almost as if you were watching a documentary.

The visuals, combined with the perfection of the musical scenes made for one hell of a movie and I've honestly never seen my mum cry so much in one movie. However, the most powerful aspect of the entire movie was a song in which Bjork merely sang numbers. It's shocking, the raw human qualities this film possesses.

Her performance was one of the best I've ever seen captured on screen. She didn't get nominated for an Oscar, but this performance is so beyond an Oscar. There's not enough praise to give her for the amount of emotional baggage and rawness that she brought to Selma. I was shaken for weeks after seeing the movie. My friends all told me I would freak out, but it was far beyond what I expected. Absolutely incredible job from Bjork and Von Trier!
