  • r u on the detroit red wings

  • it doesnt work ! dude !

  • or ya can just fall over :D

  • i drag my wheels and it's very effective at stopping me but i wear down my wheels very fast, what should i do?

  • @zephyrboy96 Pull a PunkyPlow and just either crash or fall down. < Is not responsible for your broken arm.

  • get rid of ur bobos im 11, and i can skate most likely 3x faster then u LMAO ur bad , Mission Wicked 1 skates ftw DONT LISTEN TO HIM!!!!!!!!

  • @FunnyLuckyGummy This is how to rollerskate you idiot. Not all bladers are aggressive so give the traditionals some respect. And you have to be 13+ to have a youtube account, so you obviously lied about your age.

  • @FunnyLuckyGummy show off

  • This is great! I just started roller blading today... mind to tell me how to move forward/ start roller blading? Haha! No, seriously ;)

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • Love ur english, dude! Clearly spoken english :)

  • 1:35 cool skates.

  • id rather run into walls, cars, trees and telephone poles. i cant learn this gtg rollerskateing!!!!!

  • lol,he looks like a jedi with all of those protections on him.

  • Thank you!!!

  • Im a smart cookie. Im learning this video BEFORE learning how to start on inline skates :D

  • OMFG I've never seen heel stops with shock absorbers before

  • heel stops are for faggots no offence but i have aggresive skate sand i want an easier way

  • @MrDustman206 hockey stop.

  • I still prefere walls, bushes, cars, people and trees but why does he have 2 brakes, you need one?

  • where the hell did you get these gigantic protectors? :D

  • learn powerslide or parallel, noobs

  • In canada We Play on skates in the winter, Then in the summer rollerblades

  • the thing that he dose not talk about is the t stop shaves your wheels

  • I would never use the plow to stop

  • i thought it said how to stop fruit booting.

  • ndhndhdhdhdhdoofhdhfhdhdf

  • what about the hockey stop?

  • i am 20,and my whole life i've dreamed of roller blading, just that i never fall, but i cant handle different level grounds, and slopes up and down....i just roll back!

I wish i learnt it earlier,i feel pretty embarrassed to learn with kiddos!

  • Lol he thinks hes pro, well im probably one of the fastest 11 yr roller hockey players so haha

  • @FunnyLuckyGummy Cockiness Detected ALERT ALERT!!

  • 0:58 i have those exact skates lol

  • my sister need this! thanks for the lesson;]

  • Find a local inline skating coach. Yeah right!

  • thanks

  • will the third one wear down your tires

  • @SgtFawbush most wheels wear down when using the 3rd stoping method. Some wheels wear down faster then others. it really depends on how "soft" the wheel is.

  • Does the third method, the wheel drag thing, create flat-spots?

  • will dragging you foot wear down the wheels?

  • @LUV1299 yes

  • it's patty pat eaves!!

  • THank you so much!!

  • At least Hes trying to help People .

  • You suck you look like a dork. Im a semi Pro skater and all you do to stop is you 180 spin and make a sharp you turn going back wards the oppsite diretion that you were going and the momentum would slow you down immediatley even of you are going down a very steep hill.

  • @armythugo5 yes because EVERYONE who puts on a pair of skates can do that right away. stop talking.

  • @armythugo5 what if there's no room to make that kind of stop ? I've played 6 yrs of ice-hockey and even i'm nervous when going downhill.. you just can't stop as fast as you can on ice (nearly instant). When i go downhill I always try to maintain that kind of speed so i can, as a last resort, turn off the road and hit the ground rather than the car/bike/child coming from nowhere.

  • @LaBambathereal My technique when going downhill is very similar to yours in that i like to bail out instead of plowing into a car/bike. However i have found that a child is a very effective "speed bump" if you will. Sure theres the initial impact when you collide with them but it will bring your speed down enough that you can then roll to a gentle halt.

  • As a beginner, the T-Stop is not possible for me. I can't stay stable enough on one skate to be able to drag the other skate behind me in a "perfect T". What happens is the dragged skate will shoot out behind me to the left or right resulting in a fall. For me, the best emergency stop is to use the brake, squat down with the braking skate in front, and bail out. If you have the safety gear on when you do this (especially the wrist/hand guards), it's easy and you won't get hurt.

  • i only skate at roller rinks, so my main method of stopping is crashing into the walls.

  • @PunkyPlow haha same i'm not bad at skating but I cant stop it is like physically impossible for me (: so all my friends pick on me for it lol!

  • @PunkyPlow Nice tecnique man.

  • @PunkyPlow Hey, me too! *high five*

  • @PunkyPlow Ouch ; ) me too

  • the only one of these ive ever used is the t-stop. the brake always just pissed me off(except when u get it ground down to the screw. once you do, its EPHIC!! spark trailz much), but its probably the way to go for beginners. The plow is the reason i faceplanted so often when i was just beginning. its what you naturaly want to do when ur just beginning, but dont do it, It will hurt. the best part of skating is having fun with friends who cares if you get a little banged up while learning. glhf !

  • you have a funny last name.

  • When I was growing up, you were a dork if you had a break pad. LOL! Aggressive inline 4 life!

  • T-stops seem really bad for my ancles. And I don't like my wheels taking that much damage. I prefer the heel stop. What about you, guys?

  • I tried this and I totally ate shit

  • if you watched this u r a total bender

  • omg this video is for dumbasses

  • @DustBuster91 Dumbasses that haven't skated before, unlike people like you that sound like you know everything.

Stfu. Keep snide remarks to yourself.

  • pizza.... french fries

  • Thanks dude this was the best explanation i have seen on youtube lol

  • Perfect explanation!

    Thank you!

  • The last one my sister taught me...she called it a T-stop. I haven't skated in years. Thank god there's you tube. :)

  • i use the last stop when i stop on my skates usually people do that on speed skate though

  • I enjoy to plowing method;)

  • I prefer to spin in place

  • I live in Perth, and I was really hoping to blade to work. However, I didn't realize how hilly Perth actually was until I bought my skates and tried the route out! There are three really steeps hills/pedestrian bridges. Is there a safe way to brake down these really steep inclines? Can I use one of the methods from the video?

  • @sarahstirling84 The third method can be used there, if you feel confident enough. Also, you can try doing some small turns (just like you were skiing) going left, right, left, right etc to lose some speed

  • @vivemoirs Okay. Yeah. I definitely don't feel confident enough to attempt that maneuver speeding down the hill.

Thanks for the advice. It's made me realize I need to get somebody to actually walk me through this stuff!

  • @sarahstirling84 I'd love to know the answer to your question. Everyone who demonstrates how to stop does it on a flat surface going at 5mph, but, like you, I am new to this and find myself hurtling downhill and the thought of putting my back skate at right angles or snow-ploughing is highly implausible. There must be a better way...?

  • @shell2727 I still haven't found anything :S The closest thing is: Rollerblade Slalom Braking. But even that's not a tutorial. I don't think it's something that beginners should do without an experienced skater helping you out. I guess that's why I can't find a single video on braking down hills.

  • gaylord

  • that is auctally the best advice i have ever gotten THANK YOU <3

  • thx helps alot

  • when i stop i call it pizza when i go i call it frenchfries

  • You're going to be one of those idiots who didn't wear protective gear walking around in pain due to the after effects of injuries. You might be fine now tough guy, but wait until you're older when it catches up with you. I know a 12 yr old who is paying for an injury he got when younger.. he's not even a teen and has problems with his knees due to a fall. If he had worn knee pads....

  • i have agressives how do i stop with thos

  • @Denaroma if you are not too fast use a turn stop or a t stop

if you are faster i would do a power slide (wears the wheels off pretty fast... as fast as the T-Stop, maybe even faster)

  • themoreyouknow.jpg

  • Has any one told you that only gay people were all that padding and your gay

  • @megapp1000 Gay people and retards wear helmets. Pads are for n00bz.

  • @GenoClown people who hate on protective gear are 'n00bz'

  • @420Malus Maybe... But what I said remains. If you can't not fall a lot past one week of skating and still need protective gear, you're a noob. And I'm talking recreational, of course.

  • @GenoClown people who wear helmets are smart because they don't want to crack their head open

  • @Alisgreat12 They must be retarded to not be able to fall onto their hands, arms, or side.

  • Hockey stop

  • I think he's gay

  • I still prefere skating into walls and bushes :)

  • @TheLivi1313 couldn't agree more lol screw stopping :D

  • @HAYUPAKARINGID

hahaa its been 5 months, ive learnt to stop since then ;D but this video didint really help.

  • @TheLivi1313 I like it too but believe me, I changed my mind when i had to run into a stinky bin, which i actually hugged to stabilize myself cause it had wheels too.... loool!

  • @TheFullmoonTraveller

hehe its been six months since i got my rollies :o so i can pretty much stop now with my own technique :L its much easier than the T thing :D and ikr once i was skating and there was a hill and i turned into a garage space thing and i hit the wall it hurt for ages o_o

  • @TheLivi1313 At least u learned how to stop looool! I just have em for a month and I have almost broken many bones without learning how to stop! ^_^ I guess practise makes perfect! :-)

  • @TheFullmoonTraveller

yeah i guess xD i got hurt quite a few times, but i rarely fell over completely, lol my firend and i were rollerblading and we were about to cross the road but she fell over in the middle of a road, and a bus full of people wwas coming as well. it was so funny embarassing lol so yah PEOPLE SHOULD LEARN HOW TO STOP;o

  • @TheFullmoonTraveller

    Practice makes permanent,not perfect.. :)

  • @8emisTnR Looool.... :) Totally agree!

  • what a retard , learn to aggressive skate its waaaaayy sickerrr!!!

  • @MrInterventionproman "waaaaayy sickerrr"? and you're calling him a retard?

  • /watch?v=YT9MyyMbBL8

    plz watch this.

  • holy shit, that looks hard,

ill stick to tru top acids.

  • @21ricky666 Haha agree:)

  • remove that brake you look like an idiot ;D

  • @mitraljez agreed i just use the front weel to stop

  • what about hockey stops? do u know how to do that?? i guess thats too advanced for you... play some hockey and you'll learn how to really stop

  • YAY NOW I CAN TRY THIS DOWNHILL! NOT!

  • what happens when you don't have a heel stop! mine dont

  • Nice!

  • "your right foot is gonna be your breaking foot" that sounds scary haha

  • 0:01 thumbs up so u can skip advertisements

  • I thought I'd find a way how to stop if I'm going as fast a car from a hill... this is like teaching how to stop if your standing still =___= when you in such a speed how can you not-stop. And srsly, don't use heal stop- when you buy skates, just get off that break from them-it will only get in your way.

But last T-stop is good, I advice that to others.

  • @LordMagtheridon How do you take them off?

  • @Soccermaster54 they are screwed on, hard to explain-don't know English that well, but basically you can take them off the same way you take off the wheels. Most people take them off because you can't drive on half-pipes and such with these things on the back. If you or your friends can 't figure out how to take them off go to a shop that sells or fixes roller blades and ask them for help :3

  • where to find a local rink and a skating coach ?

  • I use the 1st technique(slowing down) and the 3rd technique. Plus when I'm slowed down enough I'll do a little turn, so I don't have to hold onto a pole or a wall.

I'm screwed for brakes. Built in brakes are for girls.

  • thanks now i can stop more evectively

  • im lovin how hes completely DECKED OUT in pads

  • ME ME ENSEÑAS NADA HERMANO

  • roller blading is ok but biking is better in my opinion.

  • aiight. i dont stop like that, i run into the wall or go off the rink onto carpet to stop. considered FAIL lmao

  • falling works too...

  • looks like the nhl doesn't pay eaves enough

  • someone answer this if im going to do the t-brake doesnt that burn out the plastic on your wheels

  • @malewoulddoanything Yes it does where the plastic of alot fast just roll onto grass or slide to your side and fall over..

  • dag this is better than expert village

  • Social Networking for skaters! >>> rollerbook(dot)co(dot)uk

  • if u want a cheap affordable pair of skates, and you are just starting out buy these like-new skates on ebay.com... just enter this in the search bar: 160508004123

  • A.T.

  • dude ur shit

  • here's my favorite way for rollerbladers to stop: crash into the most lethal thing you can find as fast a possible. some possible choices: cars, cliffs, pits, trees, lampposts, my peepee, swords, etc

  • I can t believe you re using back break

everyone skatin a little bit is gonna tell you you have to take off this rear break

it's just gonna make you fall when you want to turn/cross and give you bad habits

take it off as soon as you buy your rollers

best stop for beginners is T stop

  • ur gay

  • @redbullgavemewings1 how exactly?

  • must we always do the v shaped kinda thing??

  • No good ! Is an official instructor !?!

  • You know, I'm a great skater but I still watch these begginer vids anyway, wtf?

  • OK SHUT UP!!!!

  • Best way is the 3rd way just put your weight on all the wheels not one so you don't wear your wheels out but personally I think the best stop is doing the entrance off a hockey stop but follow your skate around so you don't hockey stop---- can only be done on hockey skates though and you only really need to wear the wrist guards :D

  • thanks

  • Can you show as well instead of just talking? I was expecting to see more action!

  • I'm learning how to rollerblading..... it's easy!!!!!!

  • @JVsistas ok now go grind some handrails if its so easy

  • @PtownMoto OK..... SHUT UP I'M NOT THAT GOOD !!!

  • Im so glad you uploaded this video, ive been skating for 5 days now not being able to stop, good job i had my phone to watch this video.

    LOL

  • Thanks for this video, I hope I'm not gonna get killed when I try this ;)

  • isn't he overprotected?

  • @wizekorn you can't be overprotected.

once you break a bone or dislocate a knee they you will appreciate the protection.

  • stupid!

  • question for anyone to answer... can i buy heel stops separatly form the skate???

  • wow you look so cool with you nee pads & wrist gards!

  • So, if anybody actually cares about skating, you will ignore the third way. This method wears down your wheels very very quickly

  • ur skates r fake and gay

  • i always use the plow, as a matter a fact i did it yesterday night, poop, i do it all the time sometime i pow your mom, and sometimes when im done i do the snowplow, the plow is the most fun

  • @ellosophie me to

  • FINALLY theres a video with the the brake on the back!! thx

  • I don't have a heelstop lol xD

  • the last 1 makes ur wheels have flat spots so i dont recomend it

  • My first stop I figured out for myself is similar to the last one he showed, but I turned both skates sideways. I also "walked out" to stop by simply stopping the glide motion and taking steps. I actually never activate the heelstop without falling :(

  • @yamsick

Exactly. The heel stop is absolutely useless if you're going more than a mile an hour >.>

  • wait a minute patrick eaves is an NHL player for the red wings o_O

  • LOL i could do all that stuff no prob (:

  • Hi, I am looking for a secure, qualtity speed roller blades.. which brand and model do you recommend me ??

  • This reminds me of Taiji Quan for some reason

  • Great info! My friend monica and i just recently started Vbloging "DOMOS ADVENTURES " and one of our recent adventures was getting back into rollerblading. I hadn't done it in years, i wish i had looked up tutorials like your before hand. if you have a moment please let us know what you think.

    youtube.com/watch?v=HJS8BAcou7I

  • Fabulous video! I can't wait to strap the skates back on and get back out there to practice! :)

  • The first few minutes i stopped by stop "pushing" and start doing steps. Not really helpfull if you are fast, but it saved my butt several times xD

  • I try to turn. For every turn it slows me down

  • I just jump into the grass ...rofl

  • @uniquekick

    I used to do that!

  • lol i jsut throw myself onto grass to stop xD

  • i usually just wait until i slam into a building or something O.o

  • another way to stop is wait untill you hit something

  • back up is this Patrick Eaves off the Red Wings????

  • lmao .. i didn't know how to do a heel breaking or something like that until now :P ... epic

  • for heel brakes I suggest UltraWheels DBS system.

  • yeah, dont get to radical with those heel stops fellas!!!

  • i plowed this guys sister

  • @Mangula1990 what kind of retarded name is mangula

  • @TheStar73 damn, you're right. it might be the most retarded name on youtube :(

By the time you read this, I will have already killed myself

  • learning how to stop will come naturally, like the same as you learned how to skate you will learn how to stop
