  • HAHAHA great vid vic

  • Vic, how long have you been training and are you still making gains?

  • @LiberatorOfAmerica

Been training 20 years and making great gains now. I know more and I have much more patience so making gains comes a bit easier. The benefit of watching my dvds is that I have made so many mistakes. I probably have about 5 years of mistakes. This is how I learned by trying and taking good notes. Peace, Vic

  • hey Vic i wanted to ask you about something... i wanted to know how should i divide my workout on each day for example which musles should go along on the same day and also how many times a week should i go to the gym and should i take a rest between each day or not? thank u :D

  • @lokomoko3462

I think 3 times a week in the gym is really sufficient. If you are eating lean, eating well, etc...3 times is really solid.

You can do a regular split , back and bis day 1 day 2 chest and tris, day 3 shoulders and legs. you could hit abs on day 1 and day 3 and calves on day and day 3. sounds reasonable?

  • So the debate ensues about eating. I am delighted to put up any posts that stirs debate. It is good to have a different perspective from everyone. However, when it comes to eating. The debate as I see it is which is more important eating "right" or training. There is a great understanding between men and women that I believe we can all agree, "garbage in - garbage out". This goes for the mind - and the body. It is not a judgmental statement it simply elementary. Love your body- Peace all,Vic

  • what do you think about olive oil to cook with and the red wine glass a day is good for your heart

  • @premium1823

I think it is called living. One good research cardiologist told me that he prefers sunflower and safflower oil. IN fact, he said you can cut your olive oil with this as it has some wonderful properties. As far as red wine. I am italian and I have been hearing every justification for a glass of vino. I will say this. I don't drink - a personal choice, however, if one can stop at one, then sounds perfectly fine to me. This way, you enjoy, it may help and most likely can't hurt . Vic

  • it's really great site.

  • Hi Vic :-) dunno if you are going to see this komment, but just wanted to tell ya, that you are so cool, really!

Trust me when i tell ya that I have seen A LOT of workout videoes on youtube, but none of them were just as good as yours.

Dont know if it is the great exercises or your personality that is catchy, but both are indeed fantastic!

    Peace

  • @hamder555

Got it friend. Thanks and Peace, Vic

  • hey m8 u said u dont eat sugar, what about after a workout, do u not add sugar to your shake so u get a insulin spike

  • @ozera16

    Hi friend - I don't do shakes.

  • 7 people are retarted.

  • My friend eats fast food, drinks beer like every second weekend, and when he makes food he loads it with sauces or cheese... yet he is one of the most fit guys I know, what's up with that?

  • @ifrit2009

Does he have the devil on speed dial? WTF? Actually, I have a few theories.

One he eats a lot of stuff but doesn't overeat- correct? He is not stressed out- correct? He uses this as fuel- correct? There are definitely some unique dudes out there. I'm not one of them. At least, I don't think so. Peace, Vic

  • Hey Vic, my friend drinks, use to smoke, and eats a lot of junk food including mcdonalds and various other fast food... also when he makes food he loads his meals with sauces and stuff... Yet he has an 8 pac and is one of the most fit guys I know, what's up with that?

  • @ifrit2009

Well- he is an efficient burner. He is able to expend enough energy to mitigate any caloric overload. Pretty rare. He can attribute it to his metabolism. Many people, regardless of how much they diet have a hard time losing weight- because when they diet their metabolism slows down. Unfortunate, but this is what happens to a lot of people. Without offering too much here. Your friend should thanks his stars and remember , input equals output. Imagine if he was nourished properly?

  • I love how he said the fourth question with a staight face

  • Hey Vic, I've been watching your videos because I wanted to build muscle for the summer. I was wondering if you occasionally eat things that aren't part of your diet because on weekends I tend to eat out because it's my way of rewarding myself. Is this ok if it's just like one day a weekend?

  • Thumbs up for the fourth question alone

  • hey vic

i happen to work late shits in a casino and the only time i can relly exercise is when i get out like at 4a.m. is it recomendable for me to drink my protein shakes after my workouts at the gym considering that i drink them and immediatelly go to sleep???

    thanks!!!

  • @erbinbolo Good friend of min told me the other day some folks are touting to go to bed on a shake. Theory is that it replenishes and since you won't be eating for 7 or 8 hours - you are hydrated and nourished from this. I always drink plenty of water before going to bed - tons. Now I am not an authority on protein- in fact, I don't take any - so stay tuned. I'll learn more. Vic

  • Vic, do you workout when you're sick (i.e., with a common cold)? Thanks

  • @PSC71421

No training when you are sick or tired- I won't shrink if I miss a couple of workouts to heal and neither will you. It will be good for you and your immune system- when you feel sick or when you feel it coming on- training is not a priority getting well is. I don't care about those guys who says you can exercise if symptoms are above the neck. That's a joke- all serious illnesses are felt above the neck- Peace friend - stay well - Vic

  • Hey Vic,

I was reading a response you gave in your forums linked from your website. You said that you ate about 2000 calories a day and only ate three times a day. I find this incredibly difficult to grasp considering you look to be at least 180lbs and a diet that low in calories should make you lose weight. Could you please shed some light on what I must be confusing.

  • @Bolmster You are not missing anything. This is all I need. My muscle isn't fabricated, it is a part of me like my jaw or bones now. I don't need food beyond this to maintain my body. Most people eat too much- I eat 2000 calories of real food - not shakes and powders, real food, whole ingredients. Believe it or not 2000 calories of real food is quite a large quantity of food. Vic

  • is it more efficient to go with light weights and perform about 4 - 5 sets of them and many reps as opposed to trying your best to upping your weights each week and going on low reps? as you have explained in your vids, you tend to use lightweights. is that normally what you do in your normal training routines?

  • @porkROLZ

There really isn't a better or worse, it is a trial and error process. Really a lot of fun. Try training with weights that are manageable- weights that feel like they are testing you at around the 10th or 11th rep. Again, light is a term of art. I use weights that are manageable for me. Given my size and weight and experience, light for me is not really light to many. Let's substitute light for manageable. Vic

  • Vic, quick question. What's your opinion on supplements and Powdered protein?

  • You eat very natural indeed. One of the many benefits I find in eating natural and unprocessed food is the low sodium that they have. Those who eat fast foods and have a diet high in processed foods usually have a lot of water retained in their body due to the high sodium intake and unwanted oils. A natural diet containing all of the calories, protein, carbohydrates, good fats, vitamins and minerals is needed to look your absolute best.

The saying " you are what you eat" has a lot of value.

  • Why are you waiting here online Russian woman gettop5.info

  • I think you said in one of your videos that you eat lots of fruits and veggies. You don't go too heavy on the protein. Do you know how many grams you eat per day? I have been reading up on it and some are saying 1g per pound of body weight. Some say .8 per kg. of body weight. so much confusion out there. You really seem to know what you are talking about.

  • @polishmysac

I don't pay attention to grams-I eat a few ounces of protein at every meal- I don't go hunting for more than a serving, maybe a serving and a half of meat or dairy. That's basically it. Vic

  • @polishmysac

I don't think there is a hard and fast number. Maybe I eat 90 or 100. Everyone is different - experiment how you feel with different levels for your specific body. Vic

  • did you say you can download a free diet at your website?

  • @polishmysac

    free with any purchase

  • Thanks Vic, during the school year when I don't have time to body build I use dumbells exactly how you show me to . I managed to put and Inch and a half on my arms freshman year and 2 inches on during the summer after freshman year ( highschool) which equalled almost 16 inches about 15 and 3/4. Now I'm going into junior year and I'll continue to lift how you say showed all of us to. thanks Vic, I owe you one. and yes I'm using my sisters profile.

  • I've seen a lot of videos on youtube about bodybuilding, but his vids are the best and I recommended them to some guys in the gym 'couse very few people workout properly.

  • Anyone have any testimonials for me - I'd really appreciate it.

If you have a minute or two to make a video and send it to me -that would be wonderful- if you have made progress - if you want to show off what you got and just stand there and tell the camera how the dvd or mp3's have helped you- I'd really appreciate it- Peace, Vic

  • this guy is the man lol

  • very nice vic, i agree with no processed or fried and no sugar , but its hard sometimes but i guess ill get better and better at not consuming it. thanks for the info!

  • @slayerguitar

Oh yeah friend. It isn't easy- nothing worthwhile is. Takes a while to change habits, but it's cool take your time, cut down without forgetting to live a little here and there. Vic

  • You rock, Ive been using way to much of my arms on Chest works hence big arms small chest.. I thought it was genetics but its technique

  • lmao that eliminates everything fun in the world

  • hey i after watching your videos i started using lighter weight but i was wondering if a guy your size really uses the weights in your videos?

  • @BassDrumsGuitarMasta

That day I was training for hours. I try to use good form for demonstration. However, when I train, I obviously don't spend hours and hours, so I have more gas in the tank to lift a bit heavier. I use manageable weights for me. Let's say something I really feel on the 10th rep. that's what I play with. Moving up in 10 pound increments to complete 4 to 5 sets or attempts. Peace, Vic

  • LOL thanks for the laugh at the end Vic. I enjoy your vids.

  • nice ending

  • The best!

  • This video made me laugh so hard! Where the hell did that last part come from?!? lol so random.

  • Glad you enjoyed that- wasn't expecting that hey?Vic

  • Dear vic

I challenged myself and did 50 pound dumb bells in each hand and with proper form im proud of me. Any ways you said you do not eat nothing white buuuut do you eat rice? thats white hahahaha

  • @pavy415 Brown rice............ hahahaha

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Obviously!!!

I am glad your Back !!

  • Hey thanks for enjoying my stuff- Peace, Vic

  • use maximum weight that you can do and perform 3 sets of 10 6 6 reps. perform 3 exercises per body part and perform 3 sets per exercise. don't over train and eat healthy thats the secret of building quality muscles.

  • How do you recommend breaking down your excersizes daily?

    i.e. chest/ tricep on day

    back/bicep another day ??

Also could these excercises be used as power excersizes to increase muscle mass?

  • nice sarcasm at the end... your videos are great man

  • Hey Vic, I got some questions.

I've been training for about 2 years now, went from 50 to 70 kilograms which is pretty cool, I've been doing the good ole 3 sets of 10-8-6 reps for every exercise. But for example, I do around 7 exercises for back, I've seen you do 3, if I follow your routine and lower the weight I am using and do 3 instead of 7 exercises, won't my muscles atrophy? Could you explain me how 5 sets of doing as much as you can reps works?

Thanks a lot, you're the man Vic!

  • these videos are what inspired me to get into weight lifting/bodybuilding. learning the proper form and basics movements made me so much less confused. now im planning on entering a bodybuilding competition soon! thanks vic

  • very interesting..:))))))))))))......

  • so, right now my max 1 rep for biceps is 30lbs with good form, im lifting 25 lbs for biceps now about 8-10 reps. is this too heavy or to light? also i dont feel sore anymore after a workout, is this okay?

  • 4 times a week for 45 mins to an hour? that must be an extremely productive 45 mins

  • Indeed

  • I train exactly like you do.

    5 times a week though. ;)

Congrats on the vids and website, Vic. Oh, yeah, I'm also Vic.

    =D

    Cheers from Brazil!

  • Refreshingly deadpan, finally a bodybuilder who has a brain and a sense of humour.

  • @nowvoyager78 All the best body builders have intelligence, but this one just happens to be very smart.

  • You forgot the most important question: If I wanted to make a donation how would I go about doing so? I use your work outs. I have made great gains following your style. It really put things on a better track for an otherwise burned out routine. I feel I owe something to you. Thanks

  • So you don't eat any meat as well? That's some hardcore vegan diet man.

  • I eat meat, just grilled or broiled, meat is fine. I prefer chicken and fish and turkey, To me that is meat.

  • nothing 'white'... interesting. i'll have to pay more attention. does MILK count as white? egg whites?

  • Complex carbs like white rice white bread.

then there's simpe carbs like whole wheat/bread/rice also apple's and bananas which are all good carbs just stay away from complex.

  • You have that backwards
