  • WHATS THE SONG AT 1:45?????

  • 4:24 troll face lol

  • Comment removed

  • I heard Ford is selling old 57's body shell

  • 446 hp on the dyno is still incredible.

  • How boring all these mindless nationalistic comments are. Yawn.

  • Ok I have seen this show a few times but I had to come an comment on atleast one top gear blod, These dude are f****** retarded.! everthing is staged for lack of interesting shit, The yung skinny lame said a 92 bmw is MOre advanced then any new truck on the Road,..! WTF IS WRONG WITH HIM... The only one who is decent is not he fat guy but the other an he intentinaly acts stupid an dos a piss poor job..! Please give my history channel back.! tAKE THIS S*IT OFF.!

  • @fishVilleCommunity This is the UK version, they dont have it in the History Channel

  • Well the douche driving doesn't know what he is doing. Get an American driver and see the time it makes.

  • @TheBmr12626 It does not matter where the driver is from, thats a completely irrelevant factor

  • @eatingairplanes Yes is does, nice try.

  • @TheBmr12626 umm okay then enlighten me with your brilliant explaination

  • @eatingairplanes Americans are better drivers.

  • @TheBmr12626 haha alright man you keep believing that, because there are SO many international racing tittles that only the US has

  • @eatingairplanes Your speaking words that mean nothing. All i hear is Americans are better at anything and everything.

  • @TheBmr12626 Dont get me wrong, we are great at a lot of things, but driving is not one of our strongest points. Europeans have a legacy in that.

  • @eatingairplanes Europe doesn't have shit but yellow teeth.

  • @TheBmr12626 Aaaaand you are the reason that the rest of the world hates America, just ignorance and sterotypes.

  • @eatingairplanes Its the internet bud fuck those chavs.

  • 9:25 ahahahahahahah jeremy's my idol

  • my truck had the same engine

  • I love how they strap this car to the dyno, but when BMW claims xxx hp out of their new car, it would also dyno a lower amount to the wheels based on drivetrain loss. But of course....only dyno the American car and make them look like liars. Idiots.

  • @ShopforCFcom American car companies are liars though. Maybe you think people like wasting their money on expensive cars that are falsely advertised?

  • @rorschach775 You are seriously misinformed. Every car company rates their cars based on flywheel horsepower. They ALL will make less horsepower at the wheels, which is what a dyno measures. That means ALL car companies are liars in your book.

  • @ShopforCFcom Then why are you worried about looking like a liar?

  • @rorschach775 Its because the American car is the only one they put on the dyno and make it look like Ford is fudging the numbers. They never do this to European cars. Its just hypocritical, thats all.

  • Typical TG review of an American car. That car can wipe the floor with the M3 even with the live axle if you know how to drive. I wonder, do they drag out the rolling road for every european car they review? Not a chance.

  • @VirtualSuperSoldier So true, I can't give your comment enough of a thumbs up. No matter the American car, they find something wrong with it. The problem with the Ford GT.....you can't open the doors when parked next to another car. I wanted to throw my remote at the TV when they said that.

  • @ShopforCFcom Jeremy Clarkson still bought one himself and says he loves it though.

  • @VirtualSuperSoldier yeah but really, in a winding course, the M3 or any other european car would win. the gt500 just doesn't have the cornering ability.

  • @VirtualSuperSoldier That would really depend on the course, if the course has lots of corners than the mustang would lose but on a course that has lots of straights it would win. If a company could just combine the power of an American muscle car to the handling of a European car, than that would be a fast car.

  • @Flightkid9 BULL. Randy Pobst put the 2011 Mustang GT around Willow Springs opposite the M3 and there was only a tenth of a second between them. The Shelby is twice the machine the standard Mustang GT is in nearly every way. IT would destroy the bimmer around the corners or on the straight. Cheaper too.

  • Nice car but why the solid rear axle? :(

  • @GrandTourer164 Because they're cheap and realize that people would buy the car anyways because they can just say "it's a mustang with tons of horsepower" and people will buy it regardless.

  • This car REALLY sucks. Sure when you comapre the high end Mustang model to a Camaro. The mustang sort of wins...but not compare your crappy Mustang to a Corvette ;)

  • @ajbigpappa The corvettes entire rear end is plastic, you can push it in.

  • @ajbigpappa compare a mustang to a vette? is that because you know the mustang is faster than the piece of shit camaro?

  • @kouruleoblaze

    Knights of Cydonia - Muse

  • @timlomd No its not... :p

  • a car host that knows nothing about drive train loss on a dyno...

  • Whats the song played 1:45

  • shit.no top comments

  • yer they always underrate car the xy xw i think the 289 xr. ford told the media or whoeva it made 200 and somfin hp atually it made 300 i think

  • LMFAO at the last comment in the vid

  • I just want to see that '68 one...

  • Lol, they hate americans so much. Good thing I'm self deprecating.

  • shouldn't they have a fan for the cars on the dyno?

  • omg who the fuck cares about a british dude's opinions on cars?

and the driver sucks cuz motortrend does the same shit and nothing like this happens. british ppl dont know shit about cars.

  • @omgimboredperry406 why are you watching this program then

  • @KickUpStudios1 buddy of mine wanted me to watch it and get my opinion on it.

  • You do know dyno's find the power at the wheels, that is less than the power at the engine or flywheel and that's where they get the numbers for the "500" from.

  • @TheSkilltrain the 500 in the name GT500 has nothing to do with the horsepower rating. Carrol Shelby picked 500 cause it was higher then any other number currently being used as a car name at the time. the GT350 was named for the number of feet or steps (depending on the day the story is being told) between Carrol Shelby's office and the building where the cars were being built. BTW: GT350s are small block v8s (289). GT500s are big block v8s (427/428/429).

  • Americans should learn to take a joke

  • @MichaelHeadland It gets old after everyone in the world does it all the time, then relies on our relief efforts for their next meal and our military to protect them

  • Another problem, they tested the HP at the wheels when the manufacturers measure at the crank. ANY car you dyno (not "rolling road", wtf is that shit) will have less hp on a dyno than what the manufacturer says.

Back in the day, the big 3 actually underrated the HP rating of their cars for insurance purposes, i.e. they say the car made 350 when it actually made 390.

  • @LamboK28992 very true, as it is still being done today. many engines were under rated for insurance reasons (and in many cases is still done today). the 67 427 corvette was rated at 435hp, but the dyno sheet cut off 1500RPM before redline to hide the real horsepower peak. A good example today is the new 2013 Shelby GT500 is under rated at 650hp. in actuality it make 670hp.

  • @CamaroAmx Chevorlet is famous for under rating the horsepower on the camaro and firebird so it won't be too close to the corvette. the 93 Z28 was rated at 275hp. in actuality it made nearly 300hp. but since the corvette was rated around 335hp, GM fudged the number for the camaro/firebird so it be so close to the Vette. It is an unwritten rule at GM that no other car can be faster or have more power then the corvette. which is part of the reason the Buick GNX was only produced for 1 year.

  • Everyone knows clarkson is a secret wannabe American who just bashes them because he is covering up his own inferiority complex. Like how people who are hiding the fact they are gay often say all this shit about hating gays. For fucks sake, clarkson's favorite car is the Ford GT, he has bought two of them.

Funny guy but a total moron as well.

  • Lame or not, i want it

  • what's that test of horse power? don't you need a proper room with injection of air in the turbo, and for the cooling stuff to get a more correct value???

  • jeremy clarkson got shorter....and less fat

  • screw anyone from this show, I am American, and if I ever run into anyone from this show I would take great pride in beating them till the cops pull me off. I would do the world a great favor by killing them...They are to the U.K. what the K.K.K. is to America, racist idiots who spread hate around the world...next time Clarkson shows up in America he better have a lot of bodyguards or he will be killed

  • @chrisjana75 I'm european, but I agree and support your point

these bastards only make ads of britihs cars in this show

  • @chrisjana75 damn, i agree with you to a point.. but know need to be killing anyone over it.

  • @chrisjana75 Standard American comment.

  • Comment removed

  • @CHKDISBRK If that is a "Standard American Comment" there is most likely a reason for it, don't you think? You must be one of the weak minded Brits that actually listen to him and agree with what he says even though you have never been here or met any Americans....same as the KKK that dislike black people they have never met...CLARKSON THE U.K.K.K. LEADER

  • So the Mustang isn't an M3, it was design to be an "every man's" sport car. Jeremy is always going on how the USA builds "rubbish" sport cars. First he has a bias which we all know, second like I said it was built for everyone. It's incrediblly easy to tune the car to get WAY more out of the car then what you can when you buy it on the show room floor. It was designed that way. I can buy a base Mustang and over time MAKE it a GT500 by buying all the extra parts. Not everyone has the 40K to start

  • "...wallowing about like a frisky hippo..." HAHAHAH =)

  • The 2012 Mustang with solid rear axel is a very good handling car. Go ahead and read the magazine ratings, they were very impressed with it's road handling.

BTW my all stock 2004 Mustang GT is the best hadling and most powerfull car that I have ever driven. I trust in it road races into and through the curves.

  • Why would he write on the mustang if i ever seen that shit i would beat his ass

  • To man below me:

This is how I see it:

Brits may have better cars, Americans have better grammar.

    P.S. yee haw y'all ;-)

  • Alright. This is the way I see it.

Americans, will always build worser cars then Europeans.

But I don't hate American cars because they are just so fucking fun to drive. Europeans are more serious though when it comes to Car building. SO FAR.

  • 1967 and the 2008? Which looks better than the 2010 IMO

  • The new one comes with a 650bhp V8.. And it's a mustang.. Pussy magnet

  • they are just mad cause america accomplished something they never will........ horse power

  • what year is the first blue mustang??

  • @johann2779 1967

  • @johann2779 It is a 1968 model.

  • I turned away from BBB top gear and started watching american top gear. the huge dif is that american cars have to be regulated so much that its totaly not fair. also we are being put up against supercars that cost 300k plus. look at our zr1. 100k and will almost eat anything in its path.

  • I would like a GT500 and I would never think that about my sister :/

  • i like top gear but when are they gong to realize american car makers make cars that AMERICANS want not wat pompas britts like. ford did put a independent axle in the terminator and the mustang world went ape shit! they were pron to axle failer and they cost to much to make as strong as a good ol fab 9. all these new cars dont take a driver to drive with the stability control, tcs, abs, bla bla bla. give me a car that u can turn it off and it takes skill 2 get it around the track

  • @stanggangperformance Amen! couldn't've said it better.

  • The kind of person who looks at my sister and goes mmmmm... lol best redneck line ever

  • it's my understanding that dynos measure wheel horse power and flywheel horse power... so 447whp is actually pretty good concidering mechanical loss of 15-18%

  • @alamrisa So how is 447 whp is "pretty good" when it should be 464-470 with 15-18% mechanical loss?

  • @ExRussian86 dude do the math (.15)(500) then substract from 500 = 425whp given that it's actually 15% loss and not higher

  • @ExRussian86 Must be your Russian math or Metric math.

    500hp - 10.6%loss = 447 whp

  • @alamrisa Yeah, the nissan GTR dynoes 370-410 hp on the wheels, depending on year. That's much more lost HP than the 50 the mustang looses.

  • @machone7I exactly. i dont think that the top gears folks are that ignorant, they're probably being jerks... as usual lol

  • @alamrisa They are. They know a lot about cars, but their program is not for car reviews, but a hilarious show that doesn't make much sense. I love it.

What i don't like is people without personality that take what they say as completely true and spread their (Not so true/close to reality) word all around the internet.

  • This is a message to the Top Gear office on You Tube.

DO NOT CHANGE A FU***** SONGS IN YOUR FILMS because that makes them useless... Original Top Gear music is spot on, don't play with it please!

BTW: Some say that I like Top Gear and I would buy a piano just to drop it on one of Morris Marina owners club member.

  • Is Hammond a secret American or something?

  • Has Hammond lost his mind? Wheel horsepower is a lot different from engine horsepower, which is what manufacturers advertise. Commonly known fact. Come on man, dont try to play down the 500 horses.

  • @joe735 Except many dynos will calculate the flywheel horsepower by having the engine run down and calculating drivetrain drag.

  • Last sentence just killed me...

  • They should have mentioned that any car will read a lower horsepower on a dyno (rolling road) than it's factory rating. Factories rate cars at brake or crank horsepower measured directly at the engine crankshaft and a dyno reads horsepower transmitted from the engine through the transmission, driveshaft, differential, axles and tires. Horsepower is lost through heat and friction at each step.

  • @damrak1969 there is typically a 15% loss in power from the crankshaft to the wheels so it makes 500hp at the crank EASY

  • @AdangerousRETARD This is simple. On the road do you use power direct from the engine OR it have to go trough the crankshaft, differential and wheels? Easy?

  • @ardvark84 no car manufacturer does this they list the horsepower of the ENGINE! that is the standard, if they list the horsepower at the wheel they say "whp" not "hp." you are now a smarter human being. you're welcome

  • @AdangerousRETARD Every mecanical component brings friction and loss of power. Engine itself has a lot of friction as you know. It should be "whp" and the fact that it isn't doesn't mean that this is right.

  • @ardvark84 well it isnt whp and ford didnt claim 500 whp so this is wrong

  • Comment removed

  • Great review guys funny punch line at the end, sister LMAO

  • Buy the History AGREED!

  • Love Mustangs its what we do!

  • Everybody thinks Muscle cars are ONLY good in strait lines. This one is, yes. But new models and different muscle cars are not only good in strait lines any more. They were in the past. Just check the Nürburgring times for different American cars and you will realize they beat a lot of cars that are a lot more expensive then they are...but yes this car at this year model is a death trap. The Newer model is a lot better. And to everybody says its a cheap interior...seriously? If you're racing yo

  • thumbs up for the doves:)

  • Tenho um mustang azul 1969, nunca me separei deste carro, é uma obra de arte, mas nao mantenho o meu original, ele tem 950 hp de força e é uma atração no meu estado, MT

  • I love how certain nations get all upset at Top Gear's jokes. Get a grip it's just a tv show! Man up and grow a pair you cry babies!

  • galoon, yes there are curves and turns on many roads, but to drive on a public highway in such a manner that you can appreciate the difference in independent rear suspension and a solid axle would be irresponsible. The mustang is designed to handle well and have plenty of acceleration which can be enjoyed. My objection is the Top Gear folks proclaiming the mustang as terrible because it is not designed for a road course race track but rather for enjoyment on the public highways.

  • @Janeconnerallen Yes what you say is corect however, on the assumption of smooth roads. If the roads are bumpy and potholed (as they often are in many countries e.g. Australia and the UK) your ride, as well as your grip will be poorer, made even worse if it is wet. This will cause issues during driving sessions as well as in emergency situations.

  • um I might be worng, but I thought the "bullitt" mustangs were gts? I'm pritty shere they where not gt500. any one know for shere?

  • Imagine that mustang with a few bolt ons and a tune.. good lord it would fuck shit up.

  • beautiful sounds 0:16

  • Fuck haters I WANT MUSTANG IN MY LIFE

  • HELLO6761- I see in the video that they measure the HP using a mobile dyno. The car rear wheels are turning the dyno so I assume that is where it was measured

  • The engine's horsepower is advertised as BHP not HP at the rear wheels. These guys on Top Gear are being a bit dishonest. I know they have a bias against American cars so what else should be expect.

  • @Janeconnerallen I don't think that 447 horsepower is at the rear wheels, since an F10 BMW M5 with a rated 560bhp makes 444bhp at the wheels which translates to 573bhp at the crankshaft.

  • @Hello6761 Shelby's do put 447 to the tire, these ones do. New one makes a lot more power than this

  • @Hello6761 I have never seen drivetrain loss as bad as you say.

Where did you get those figures from?

I have seen stock 2011 Shelby GT500's that are rated for 550bhp put down 470-490rwhp

  • @10243612B The figures are from an article on 'worldcarfans' a tuning company tested the M5 on the dyno. I just find it strange that a car with 60 less hp has virtually the same at the wheels.

  • @10243612B The figures are from an article on the website 'worldcarfans'. I just find it strange that a car producing 60 more bhp than the Shelby has the same power at the wheels.

  • @Hello6761 Thanks I did look up that article.

That is the highest drivetrane loss I have ever seen.

Most are around 15% that BMW has a 22% loss wow.

  • @10243612B bmw and mustang NOOOOOO

  • @Hello6761 I see on worldcarfan the 2012 bmw M5 ran a 7:55 on the Ring

    The 2012 Camaro ZL-1 ran a 7:41 wow what a stomping.

That M5 don't sound very impressive to me

  • @10243612B Still the M5 is the fastest sedan car around the Nurburgring.

  • The evaluation is just silly. The Mustang is a street car, not a formula race car. The roads in the US are 99% straight and nobody in their right ming would try to corner at the limit of adhesion. The fact that it has a solid axle is a " so what" factor because there is no place it is going to really matter. The car should have been evaluated in the environment that it will be used in.

  • @Janeconnerallen I don't know about everywhere else, but in my part of the US there are plenty of turns. All SCCA race courses have turns, too--and here especially is where a solid rear axle will be a handicap to any driver who chooses a Mustang to race. If the car had been evaluated in the environment it's used in every day, who'd be able to tell the difference in cornering between it and a Toyota Prius?

  • i love so many people here keep on saying stuff against top gear when really, lets face it, they are probably a lot more experienced and better at judging this car than 99% of the people commenting here are ;) I mean come on please, they evaluate cars for living and you really hate on them for making one or two mistakes? ... fucking children. If you are so much better become an engineer and develop cars. If this ford would be so good more people would buy it

  • @shittalker1989 Top Gear is as scripted as Jersey Shores. Entertaining no doubt but Top Gear is to automotive journalism as Jeffrey Dahmer is to fine dinning!

  • @acs4llc and?

  • @abuhamza360 Top Gear just follows a script that's written by non car dudes to be as dramatic (if not biased) as possible. Facts would just get in the way of that but if you want a show that's real, watch MotorWeek and such. They're boring as hell but this just proves you can't have it both ways. Real is boring.

If Hamster just said "LOOK IT SAYS 500 HP AND REALLY HAS... UH, 500 HP" <----That's not a show anyone wants to see. What would be dramatic about that?

  • @shittalker1989 Dude, top gear is great fun, but they are not a reliable source, come on, a bad quality jaguar "has character" and a good american car "isn't enough" while they compare them to cars 100k more expensive? They're a comedy program about cars, but not car reviewers.

  • @machone7I Look I agree to some degree, but some people here keep on writing facts which make absolutely no sense. Its a great show and the car is not that great and yes, they do talk a lot of non sense, but not everything is wrong ;)

  • @shittalker1989 Of course, they do a lot of great things. They make a great program, overall. As an example, Fifth Gear is more reliable for car reviews but it's just boring. The problem is too many people think that what they say is 100% true, and repeat it once and once again all over the internet.

  • @shittalker1989 I porsches, lamborghinis, koenigseggs, paganis were so good, more people would buy them too..

  • @TeknoPL hahahahaha you gotta be kidding right? Are you really comparing a Ford Gt500 with super sport cars, each with prices on average 2-3 times higher than the ford? Allright, so first of all not many people have the kind of money to buy supersport cars and additonally a pagani is not known for its level of comfort. The cars you listed except maybe porsche or in some instances lamborghini, are not 'every day cars'. Please tell me you werent serious

  • @shittalker1989 I was serious, in fact I was hoping you weren't while typing that last sentence about ford. There is something called potential owned by gt500 and thus this car certainly can't be called 'every day car' but well, it doesn't have to be someone's liking.

  • @TeknoPL when i said everyday car, i was talking about suspension, gear box, weight, technology, engine, etc. Obviously the ford isnt an everyday car, but compared to a pagani it is ;)

  • @shittalker1989 Yea I know manufacturers I've listed produce supercars, not casual cars, and supercars have nothing to do with this ford, but either way I wouldn't call shelby an everyday car, it.. just.. shouldn't.. do.. that.. :p

  • how much it does?

0 to HOLY SHIT IM GONNA DIE!! in 3 seconds

  • 447hp at the rear wheels would roughly be 500hp at the crank. These guys should know that.

  • @ShepperdOneill still it is a lie that car manufactures tell the people who, 95% of them dont know what 'horse power' even is

  • It hurt when he wrote on the GT500...

  • typical ford..theyre great but just not enough

  • @topak10 Really, here is what i think 8==========D.

  • I agree with Hammond in that that year of Shelby's are rubbish but they have got to try the newer one. Immense fun.

  • 0:45 NO IT ISN'T BULLIT IS A 68!!!!!!!!

  • 2010 Fifth Gear Hates

    2011 Top gear hits

2012 Top gear's way to succes

  • They should do the Camaro ZL1

  • @Expendablexxxx what ever you think cock sucker my friend has a mustang. And it has over 200000 miles on It I think you are just jelus because you have a shot box Toyota and mommy and daddy won't let you get a real car

  • GOD DAMN!!!

  • But It is for the 300 horsepower mustang

  • It is 500BHP at the flywheel!! 447 was measured at the rear wheels. The difference is just drive train losses!!

  • Towards the end he said the GT500 didn't have a limited slip diff....Bullshit.

  • They are just mad because they have to pay twice as much to own .... While in America this car is for teenagers and the average man

  • @1IImrxII1 Well, maybe not teenagers. ;)

  • well first: that was a shitty ass dyno... and 447 hp = around 500 raw, and second: because of its weight, it handles a lot better than its pony car rivals. So maybe you noobs should stop trying to bad-mouth the mustang, you're just making yourselves look like idiots who pretend to know what theyre talking about.

  • Mustangs should be renamed Shitstangs because they self-destruct after 100,000 miles Ford sucks balls when it comes to automobiles

  • @Expendablexxxx That's funny, because my 1997 Mustang is pushing 170,000 miles and still runs like a champ, it hasn't broken down once.

  • @Expendablexxxx this is true about SOME older mustangs but the newer are some of the most reliable on the road. look it up

  • @Expendablexxxx I second that. Ford builds the US's equivalent of Soviet Ladas and Moskvichs. Even if you're lucky enough to get a Ford car that goes over 100,000 miles without breaking down (highly unlikely), it's going to look and sound like the kind of car that would be driven by an unsuccessful check forger---destroyed interior and paint, squeaks, rattles, and whines coming from everywhere, creaking suspension, etc. Ford's trucks are pretty good, but their cars have a long way to go.

  • Comment removed

  • These guys are fucking stupid. Its 500 AT THE CRANK its how every car is advertised as..

  • Am I the only one who realized these guys aren't real car experts? I'm European and I must say, I would be far more ashamed of letting a Brit drive an American muscle car than being a Brit and driving it myself.

  • @BeyondOpenSource Im European too, and I agree, Top Gear is shit. They base their opinions and reviews on their America hatred and not on the actual facts.

  • @DesertStateNevada Top Gear is an entertainment show, not a review show

  • @aspiringdrummer17 Thats funny, when it comes to British cars they take it pretty seriously, but when theyre talking about American or German cars the only thing they take seriously is the 'entertainment'

  • @DesertStateNevada They still don't give British cars genuine reviews because they don't really know that much about cars. It's all about the entertainment aspect and that's why you should take everything they say with a pinch of salt

  • @aspiringdrummer17 welll it is comedial except the stigs driving

  • @BeyondOpenSource They are still funny as hell..

  • There still holding a gruge. The U.S whipped that ass with a military a quarter of the size hahahaha.Britts are soft and so are there over priced posh pussy cars.

  • All you haters can type 2013 Mustang GT500 in the search bar and marvel at the 650 horse power and precise handling around the Nurburing track of the pony after shitting your pants. You can also type Falken Mustang in order to secretly jerk
