This was one of my Grandma Hawkins favorite hymns. She told me of her memory as a sharecropper's daughterworking in the fields hearing the workers around her singing Beulah land as they picked cotton. On her deathbed, she drifted off to sleep once and when she came back she said she had been watching the children playing in the river. I believe she's living in Beulah land now and I can't wait to join her there with our Savior. God bless us all.

We sung this song in church today. Believe it or not, it was the first time I had ever heard it. It has to be the second most beautiful song ever written. I got goosebumps when we sung it today. I say second most beautiful song, because to me, 'Amazing Grace' is the prettiest song ever written.
