i recently got this game. im sorry to say it's not all so great. It's great as a CivII/Geopolitical-type game. But as soon as war breaks out, the whole game falls completely apart to where it's just totally ridiculously chaotic and the computer cheats massively. Example: I played as US, war with Mexico, ONE Mexican Frigate smites in a few hits 1 fully armed Aircraft Carrier, 2 attacks subs, 1 destroyer. WTF? And apparently 1 Mexican INFANTRY-only unit can fight off 20 tanks, infantry, jets, etc.

I played with China and attacked N.Korea,I got my ass kicked -_- its not a good game,the economy is rendered good and the infrastructure mimics the real life situation but overall its not good enough to be fun,and as you said,war situation is awful,I would rate this game 3 from 1-10 since there is no fun in it,especially diplomacy sucks BIG TIME,so when the economy is badly put,the diplomacy is useless and military this game is below shit then 3 is a high mark! -_-
