And it gets lonely here when there's no one left to CHER ♪♫ You can shake it all awaaay...♪♫ if you'll heaaar myyy storayyyy ....♪♫ Some people lust for fame ...and I got played....like in a game...We break our collar bones and come up swin...ging...Some of us are down.. some of us are crowned...
This song, "Stars", was written by the brilliant Janis Ian. It was taken from her album of the same name. Check out Janis' work. You won't be disappointed.
I bought this album in Summer 1975 released during the "Cher" television series. This is Cher's masterpiece and yet amazingly unreleased on CD as of this date! The whole album was perfect - every song. If Cher would sing this live it would thrill her long-time fans. Thanks for this tribute video.
*raspberries* all over warner brothers for not re-leasing this in CD format! really no excuse since Cher has given them 2 successful albums since rejoining the company back in 1998.
it*s exactly the same with me here....it is the first cher album i bought, and it IS one of the greatest recordings in the world f pop music (together with her "bittersweet white light"). i'm a big jimmy webb-fan, and i think these two make a great pair. unfortunately cher hates the album...and it was a complete bomb in the billboard charts.
i would really LOVE to have this on cd! everything about it is great. the songs, the arrangements, the musicianship, the sound - and chers great singing!!!
This song is the prettiest song in the WHOLE WORLD and it is a masterful genius piece of work in lyrics and CHER's mood expressed. It makes me cry because I want her to LIVE FOREVER!!!
This is my all time favorite Cher music. To bad it never got the recognition it deserved. For most long time Cher fans this is the most favorite and cher-ished piece of her singing work. Check out "Love Enough" and "These Days" also fantastic cuts from this album.
4 me the best song she ever recorded, the arragenment is a work of art and the song by janis ian, who wrote it after a nervous breakdown i heard cause after at 17 she couldn't get a record deal, pure gossip here, but it does add to the song's meaning... wow! the oes who gave the crown have been let down...
But you know it makes me feel about the inevitably of time passing and losing those precious, amazing individuals who are truly STARS in one's life--family and heroe-celebrity role models alike...It REALLY makes me *TEARS up* feel...BITTERSWEET
My favorite album of hers...

Her album Stars from 1975 carried me through a horrible teenaged angst. Music is powerful and her album gave me the power to go on.

i have just discovered this song few weeks ago, and suddenly is one of my favourites, it would be great to hear it live! Maybe in Vegas?!

Nah...She wouldn't do it in Vegas although that's be amazing! She has to do songs that anyone would know...not only her diehard fans.
