@samsdaddy0525 Absolutely!! I couldn't have said it better. Amen, brother. Preach it! Jim Nance, Charlie Hennigan, Rich Jackson, Lionel Taylor, Clem Daniels, Hewritt Dixon, Billy Cannon, Houston Antwine (god rest his soul), Butch Byrd, Cookie Gilchrist, Art Powell, Paul Lowe -- I could go on and on.
@wilkrazor2 Yep, EVERYONE of these GREAT players should be in the Hall of Fame! Like I said, it is a TRAVESTY not more AFL greats are not in the Hall of Fame.
@DBJetsman At first I resented your comment. But I reflected on what you said and I agree. The Jets whipping the Colts was a watershed event for pro football. Not sure what would have become of the AFL if not for SB III. Although I will add that the Chiefs win over the Vikings the next year was the final straw. I recall talk of the jets win being a lucky aberration. Not after SB IV.
@wilkrazor2 I agree, the Chiefs DOMINANT win over the Vikings was the final straw. I will say I do wish the two leagues never merged. I understand it was inevitable but how much more exciting would it have been for the AFL and NFL to play for bragging rights with each Super Bowl! And, no inter-league play, just the two top teams of each league meet in the Super Bowl.
@2:00 That guy is a splitting image of Tim Tebow in a way. But, nah I do not want to compare to him and Tim Tebow at all, but look at the guy's face.

The NFL today should thank the American Football League for making it the game it is.
It is a travesty men like Gino Cappelletti, Daryle Lamonica and several other AFL stars are not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The AFL was awesome! The Raiders, Chargers, Broncos, Chiefs, Bills, Patriots, and Titans can all thank the Jets for being in the NFL today.

I love the AFL. Anything that can take a successful poke at the bloated, arrogant NFL and win I like.
