I agree with you. When it comes to goals of pursuit, some martial arts are better than others. For example, TaiJiQuan or LiuHeBaFaQuan would be much better than Karate for the health of the internal organs. But, in combat and application, it all depends on the master, the practitioner and the quality of the taught art, and not on the taught art itself.
This is what real martial arts looks like.
