Good fun for a good cause. I think it was wicked the way Prince Edward was picked over for this by the gutter press. Showed a good sense of humour by the Royals involved - and a good, quality calibre, celebrity line-up. Rowan Atkinson, Meatloaf, John Travolta, the late Christopher Reeve, Cliff Richard, John Cleese, Jane Seymour, Walter Payton, Aled Jones and SO many more. Great spirited fun. Good on Prince Edward. x
@RoonJazz I heard that Princess Anne required her team to stand far back from her, behind, as you can see... whereas Andrew and Edward allowed their teams to stand close behind them. Odd.
I think you misunderstood the comment below. Prince Edward was the one who got Princess Anne involved....hence she must have loved her brother so much to be a part of the antics. All for a great cause!
This is great, and I love it how they raise money for their respective charities, but to have the Royal Family looking so out of character in their kind of cheesy costumes is well...too outrageous and out of character
@Ainzleeriddell I agree. This is the kind of thing that I imagine Prince Harry could be involved with. Princess Anne must really love Prince Edward so much because this is so completely out of her character!
I bet when this went out on TV the Queen wept in a corner with her head in her hands and the Duke of Edinburgh, well, he just opened up another bottle of Gin.
At least Prince Edward has a sense of humor about being royal.

The Royals of the past would never have taken part in something as demeaning as this. They are a disgrace to their royal blood.

If this happened today it would be fine. Did they raise much money? That's the point, hey.
