Ken,Ryu and Akuma are the most well rounded(and cheapest) fighters in the SF series cause of their combination of speed,powerful moves and fireballs which is good for long range attacks,setting fighters up for attack from below when they jump over,and their fireballs are easy to do.Also their small size also benefit them against large fighters cause there's less areas to hit.The SF series is very unbalanced but i understand its difficult for developers to balance a game out perfectly though.
@barlog20 Akuma is cheap (banned from tournaments). Sagat is almost cheap. Ryu and Ken are average in this game, Daigo is just amazingly good with Ryu.

ryu is all about fireball that's all. there is a very big recovery with hadoken so if your opponent predict it you're finish.it's very hard to have a very good hado play with feints and stuff and its very pleasant to do it.(hado trap in corner!)

...Fireballs are a poke, just like any other poke. It's just full screen, and has its own batch of recovery and methods to defeat them. The entire game REVOLVES around these pokes. It's what makes Street Fighter what it is, vs games like Tekken and Soul Calibur.

You clearly don't understand the concept of pressure play. It's how you're able to gauge how hard you *should* fight that it's not a total goddamned blowout every time. So long as you're able to apply pressure and your opponent keeps up, your gameplay consistently changes to keep up on the difficulty curve given.
Hence the terms baiting and reading.

SFIII is (arguably) the BEST SF ever released and has the highest skill ceiling. Yes, diago vs J. Wong in SFIII was impressive, but watch Umezono vs Hayao, That parry is FAR more impressive than daigo's due to the fact that Hayao did a 720 IN THE MIDDLE of Chun's super art

well, im not too good, but i beat akuma on arcade, and almost nobody is as good as akuma's cpu. but i can see how akuma can beat quite a bitch to fight. but i usually beat anyone who tries akuma. but the technique of, standing, red hadouken and then a jump fireball move, is quite cheap. sometimes im losing, and i do that, ann im thiking, "lol. wow this pro cant beat my cheap ass strategy, lol." but the actual real pros, like vega tres, cant always beat akuma. but ive beaten afro with akuma..so.
Daigo s trademark deals with health within a game like the first one shown. When his health is low, that is a definite sign of him already winning the round. Daigo is known for making amazing comebacks!
@DASHANE19 Thats not a glitch. Boxer stuck out charge punch and Ryu shoryukened it. The shoryuken beat the charge punch animation. This is no different than, for example, Guile does a crouching medium kick and Fei Long does a crouching roundhouse and sweeps Guile's medium kick.

This is Hyper Street Fighter II. Its basically all the games in one, but you can mix and match, so you have a character from one version fighting another from a different version.
As for special attacks, or "Supers" They can only be done in "SUPER Turbo" not the original Turbo.
And incase youre wondering, Super Turbo did not get released on SNES

People seem to dislike Daigo because he has so many fans. Sadly alot of them are seriously irrational.
So if Daigo actually lose a match they would say something like "that is not daigo" because he wasn't playing right or etc.
People forget the fact that he is human and he makes errors like everyone else.
And regardless of that he is still becoming better.

@crazyrj14 That's pretty much it. Honestly, I'm not a Diago hater but I don't think he's so great. In the modern SFIII scene he's actually a "middle card" player currently. SFIII is (arguably) the BEST SF ever released and has the highest skill ceiling. Yes, diago vs J. Wong in SFIII was impressive, but watch Umezono vs Hayao, That parry is FAR more impressive than daigo's due to the fact that Hayao did a 720 IN THE MIDDLE of Chun's super art

Akuma, Bison, and Vega are the Best. Akuma being the overall best, and thats why he's the secret boss, and thats why he's banned from tournaments.
but also i think vega is very trick and one of the hardest. balrog, and akuma, being my most feared, and vega being the most unpredictable.

well, im not too good, but i beat akuma on arcade, and almost nobody is as good as akuma's cpu. but i can see how akuma can beat quite a bitch to fight. but i usually beat anyone who tries akuma. but the technique of, standing, red hadouken and then a jump fireball move, is quite cheap. sometimes im losing, and i do that, ann im thiking, "lol. wow this pro cant beat my cheap ass strategy, lol." but the actual real pros, like vega tres, cant always beat akuma. but ive beaten afro with akuma..so.

Daigo s trademark deals with health within a game like the first one shown. When his health is low, that is a definite sign of him already winning the round. Daigo is known for making amazing comebacks!

In my opinion charge characters will always be inferior to shotos just based on them not being able to pull off fireballs as fast or easily.

@DASHANE19 Thats not a glitch. Boxer stuck out charge punch and Ryu shoryukened it. The shoryuken beat the charge punch animation. This is no different than, for example, Guile does a crouching medium kick and Fei Long does a crouching roundhouse and sweeps Guile's medium kick.

This is Hyper Street Fighter II. Its basically all the games in one, but you can mix and match, so you have a character from one version fighting another from a different version.
As for special attacks, or "Supers" They can only be done in "SUPER Turbo" not the original Turbo.
And incase youre wondering, Super Turbo did not get released on SNES
