  • Looks like good coffee. I'm getting one of these. Looks like fun trying to get get it right more involved than an Electric espresso Machine. Nice video. I would drink the coffee before washing up though!!!

  • Kitchen needs a clean

  • Would you recommend this thing? I've been looking into it as my Delonghi machine appears possibly to have finally died, and having had two of them in the last two years, I don't fancy buying another one! Thanks.

  • Did you do any pre-heating?

You were touching the presso a bit with your thumb... when I pre-heat mine that's way too hot!

  • No commentary?

    Would have been helpful.

  • What kind of grinder are you using? I've never seen that exact model, it's similar to a KitchenAid Pro Line and some more industrial grinders from Turkey I've seen

  • Too gay!

  • LA PAVONI THE BEST

  • Why did you do that second extraction ? What was the point in spending all that time doing the second extraction that you arent going to drink and then cleaning the machine before you drink the espresso ? weird.

  • @ortcloud99 The second 'extraction' was to clear all the water out. If you've used a Presso, you know it can be a pain to get the extra water out with out making a mess - this is one way to do it.

  • Your grind is off, I'm just sayin'.

  • Speaking of "grind", is it my imagination or at 1:10 does that portafilter sit flush with the bench, ie. no nipple on the bottom? Was it ground off? 'Cause mine won't sit flush with a huge appendage on the arse-end of it...

  • @TheGraemeWoller Yes, the portafilter is 'bottomless'. The entire bottom portion was removed, so at that point in the video it is sitting flat on the table.

  • @303Miles The grind was pretty good.

  • @hbuchtel yeah the grind was decent but i think if you go just a lil bit more coarse it would be better

  • It's hard to trust your judgment about the coffee since you let the shot completely expire before you drank it. With real espresso you only have about 10 seconds to save the shot before it goes all sour on you.

  • coffee snob

  • @s2164059 yes.

  • @jrogers04 INCORRECT,

a good shot of espresso should maintain a consistent cream for about 90 to 120 seconds. This video was executed very well.

  • @albetty100 I wasn't talking about the creme. And in any case, probably better to finish making the drink before worrying about cleaning the machine. The shot sits for 80 seconds in this one.

  • @jrogers04 I don't agree. In my experience, good expresso lasts a long time before the taste changes to unpleasant. I usually drink it before it gets cold.

  • Espresso should not have water at boiling point. Between 195-205 is typical.

  • I suspect that the boiling water would cool enough by the time it hits the grinds.

  • @statesmanls1 I think you are right. The water cools down quite a bit. If it tastes like it is *too* cool (ie sour), you can pre-warm the presso.

  • did you modify the presso?

  • @festremadoyro In this video the Presso is unmodified except for the bottomless portafilter.

  • What's wrong with the coffee that comes out at the end into the bowl?

  • It doesn't taste as good as the first part.

  • envy u ^^
