For those that must know Jay likes to get close to the crowd because he likes to get close to his "gente" as he calls it. If you see alot of his shows thats the spot he likes to come up front. The crew probably did not follow the stage plot. He did the same thing this weekend in Lubbock at the fiesta. Had the crew move the monitors so he could get close to his people Those were his words. Aaron Holler kicks ass!!
I used to like Jay. But Dammit I hate going to see him play because he always sings that F*cken Mrs Jones song that last forever!He also lets some other guy sing for an hour. Whats up with that! Moreover, can somebody tell him to stop possing like a queer in all his pictures. What the hell happen to this guy!Doesn't he know that everyone talks behind his back about this shit?
celebrity19812004 you have probaly never been on stage... those guys need to be told what to do once in a while.. cause the person performing needs to be comfortable in what he is doing.. its not about being an idiot..your the idiot.. for just opening your mouth.. take some music and live sound classes.. get educated first
for your information I have seen Jay Perez numerous times in concert. Every single time he has acted like that. It is rude and does nothing for the morale of the group or his crew, not to mention his image. I used to purchase all of his albums, from Ven a Mi, till now. I no longer support him because of how rude and thoughtless he is to his crew. By the way I have toured with a group and we NEVER treat them like that.
Although Jay is a great singer, like any person, he does have his flaws. He does have an ego problem, but that does not make him a bad person. The only problem I had with him was that he was trying to steal my friend Steve (accordion player for the Hometown Boys) away. Jay recently had lost his accordion player and pretty much told Steve to leave Los Hometown Boys!! Hell no....lol
I've played outdoor venues like this! Having the monitors working correctly and hearing yourself is the difference between performing on key or slightly off. He probably has a big ego but most performers do or they wouldn't be on stage. I don't think he was out of line on this one to make the sound guy come and adjust the monitors. Was he gonna stoop down and do it??
