Incase Slider Review Black for iPhone 3g case cover

I got this case a couple of months ago and the back of my phone is ruined

I am getting a new incase that has a silicone covered back I currently have a "fake" otterbox.

Well they are nice. until you have them on for a year....... Well For one, the case actually scratched the hell out of the back of my ipod but luckly i had a back screen protector that is now in the garbage, it also took an hour and a half for to 15 year old Athletes to pry off. i would not recommend this case to anyone

I got this case and it scratched the heck out of my phone!!! And then I got a Incase Chrome Black Slider and I can't tell if it added any scratches to my phone because there is so many on it!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone had problems with the Incase Slider scratching the back of the phone? I have heard that this can be a problem, so I don't know if I should purchase one, or get another Speck Candy Shell. In which case I would get the case + crystal clear screen protector, as supposed to just a case, for $35.

@TehkProductionZ I do believe my phone did get some scratches from the incase slider as well as other plastic sliders that don't have a rubber guard running down the inside of the case. The candyshell protects very well but is a little thicker than the slider cases

How about some feed back on the reception issues with incase sliders?

I mean is there decreased reception from the carrier or what about wifi?

@iamdinkmeeker as far as the 3G and 3GS, I have absolutely no reception issues at all with any case.. not sure about the iPhone for though because I don't have one yet.. I am waiting until they fix the problem. thanks

Yeah, the case goes in and out of your pocket just fine.. It is a plastic case and the coating on the case is a matte finish which is just a soft touch.. but its still very smooth and no problem getting in and out of your pocket.. I would also check Rebel Scholar's website for some cool designs and colors of slider cases.

Be careful I have only had my iphone since black friday, bought a speck candy shell the plastic peace on the bottom broke after one week, also the bottom of my chrome is now scratched. Thanks Speck

The iPhone 3g/3gs case will not fit on the ipod toouch,, but goincase web site has this slider case available for the iPod touch in 4 different colors.

They don't. iPhone, both 3G and 3GS are bigger than iPod Touch and the sleep/wake button is on opposite side on iPod Touch.The sound on/of doesn't exist on iPod Touch and there's no camera on it.

Thanks! I actually made my background in Photoshop. I created a background and then started placing pictures of iphone cases on the background.

LOL, that is so funny.. I didn't realize you meant the wallpaper on my phone :) I got most of the cool photos from an iphone app called "backgrounds" and the good part is, it's free!

Yep, I noticed the same thing.. My screen shield bubbled with a new Incase Slider I got in recently. It does seem like my screen shield is off by just a hair.. which is enough to get it to bubble when the bottom piece of the case is installed.

I might have got lucky because it didn't lift my screen shield at all, but I did try and ifrogz and that did make my screen shield bubble on the bottom. Thanks for the comment.

man you got all the good cases i have this one but i got it in the metallic gold and maybe its the color or the fit that i don't really like about it but i had to try it seeing all the good reviews though

I was at the Apple store with one of these in my hand and I couldn't buy it for almost $40 with taxes. I like the case and all and I still plan on getting one but I wish they would drop the price on them a bit.

I know.. it's crazy. I don't ever see them on sale anywhere. That's why I won't settle for a plain color anymore like black or white. If I am going to spend that much, it will be like one of the Metallic series. I actually have a Red Metallic on order right now. Thanks for the comment.

hey nice review! im actually interested in getting one but i am waiting till i have enough money.......i have a similar case.....the contour flick...i would rather have this though...way more durable and less of a scratch magnet

The Slider is a kickass case. Hands down.

I have 3: Glossy White, Silver and Gunmetal (last one, courtesy of Key714). Yeah, I don't think I'd be a fan of the soft-touch finish, or maybe I should try it...

The only complain is the price: for 35 buck they should have included at least one scree protector.

Another complain: there's only one glossy color and a bunch of metallic ones (plus the new Bamboos). Way too many soft-touch ones.

Hey andreatunes.. I don't have any glossy finish cases.. I did see the white one, and for some reason, I find the glossy finish kind of slippery, for me at least... I have the black soft touch and just ordered the Flouresent Orange. I haven't got a metallic or bamboo yet, but I want to at least get one of each of those styles.. I do think that $35 plus shipping is alot for that case and it should at least come with a couple screen protectors like you said. Thanks for the comment.

Yeah, but the black one is kind of plain :) I can't wait to get one of the Metallic series, but not sure which color to get.. I am leaning towards the Red or Copper, but I know you can't go wrong with the Gun Metal. Thanks for watching!
