  • Tabs? please XDi liked the song

  • Muchas gracias!!!!!!! thank you.....!!!!!!! :)

  • Это песня Высоцкого , одна из моих любимых песен

  • i dont think its a folk song.. folk songs are kalinka or korobochka.. but this song is from a movie by Wladimir Visotsky. correct me if im wrong.

    well played, thank you

  • You may be right. I know nothing about this tune. It sounded like a Russian folk song to me. I think I mis-translated the title too. I think it's supposed to be "Song for a Friend".

  • you are actually right, its "Song about a friend" :=)

  • this is a song from a soviet film abount climbers. the name is "song about a friend"

  • @oldwhtman: This music is not a folk music, but it's from the movie and the song is called :" A song ABOUT a friend" and original from Visotsky Vladimir.

  • I'll change the video information text.

  • @oldwhtman :):) and yes i was commenting to say that you play really good!! good job my friend!

  • @oldwhtman its about a friend. the main idea here is that a friend is tested on how much he will risk for your friendship and it's told through the idea that if your friend is becoming so-so, take him to the mountains and is he cowards out, ppl like those are not for the mounts and they shouldn't be sung about.

but then the author says that if he keeps going with you likewise to a battle, trust him like yourself.

  • @Depalla i believe its Vladimir Visotsky but he is considered much more than a national hero (even today) so it could be accepted as folk though it isn't officially i think.

  • I love this!

  • Спасибо за память...

  • very nice!

  • У меня есть табулатура, с которой он исполняет. Пишите свои адреса, пришлю...

  • пожалуста напишите табы

  • напишите табы пожалуста, зарание спасибо

  • visozki.

  • Hi! I really like this song and I would love to learn to play it myself. Can you please send me the tab or the notes to the whole song?

  • I don't have tab for it, but you can get the sheet music from Varfolomeev's website. Take the link in this video's description and you'll find it there. It's in one of three pdf books he provides for free. I think it's the first song in the first book. The books are in Russian.

  • Thank you for the notes.

  • Wonderful

  • Доброго времени суток! Очень понравилось, как вы играете песню =))) А вы будете ещё играть Высоцкого? Есть ведь тоже интересные песни: "Большой Каретный", "Кони", "Горное эхо", "Он не вернулся из боя" =)))

  • Ochin zhenya. Ya ne ponyemaya po russkyi.

  • I think you played it very well, liked your performance!

  • Thanks. I love a good Russian folk tune. They're experts at the sad melody.

  • here is someone singing the song ala vyssotsky

    watch?v=bTp1vz4bpE0

    its song about a friend

  • Thanks for the tip. I was curious what the song sounded like. This arrangement is by Igor Varfolomeev from Russia.

  • yes, iv seen one simpler version before for guitar solol.

  • Nice song, this song was performing Vladimir Vysotsky, but I do not remember if he is also author of this song.

  • The title on the sheet music transcribed using the euro-american alphabet was "Pyesnya O Drugye". How should that be translated?

  • beautiful!

  • Very nice this one too! Nice to see you playing again on youtube!

    Regards, Wilfried
