nice engine. i gotta 383 myself. forged crank, rods, and pistons. roller cam, .580 lift and .255 duration at .50. AFR 215cc heads, 62cc. 850 demon carb. All built by myself. Built it for torque. 485 hp to the wheels, and 548 ft lbs torque. Its a beast. Its in a 73 c10. It runs low 11s right now. With a few mods to my suspension ill be runnin 10s.

@tillman40 Point taken. But muscle cars ended effectively in the early early 70's. Fuel was high, emissions strict, and turbo 4 bangers became the new hot rods. I'm 24, and a ASE certified mechanic for dodge, and there is no way i could afford a new challenger. BUt my uncle bought a 1970 chevelle new when he was 18 while working for a mason, making less than i do today. It was 40,000 dollars cheaper than a 2011 challenger, and gas was over 3 dollars cheaper a gallon.

I guess it's all a matter of choice, but i would not consider an 85 mustang with a 115 hp 302 to be a muscle car. I have a diesel truck that wil outrun an '80's mustang.
