@jondabill1 Comments like this sicken me. Saying that a hymn, which is being played differently than what you grew up with is a "worldly version" is a ridiculous comment. Worship does not have to be the same for everyone. Some people worship with an organ and a hymnal and they feel God's presence, others feel God's presence through being loud, making a joyful noise, and worshiping with everything they have within them. This song is by no means worldly.
@illgosailing Worship SHOULD have the same proponents and principles involved. A singer who is "singing for the LORD" SHOULD sound different than Nickleback or any perverted glory hogging "artist" (lol) of the day. It is by ALL means "worldly." Compare it to any modern artist on the popular rock scene. Is it any wonder that "Christian Rock" (oxymoron) is played on secular airwaves right along with AC/DC? Because the MUSIC is no different- the words in some cases are, but....!

@jondabill1 You really do not understand the point of christian rock do you? Its not rebellious at all. It is nothing like the glory hogging secular bands. It is to reach out to people who are lost, who wouldnt normally come to church or listen to words of worship. It is the same tactics that were used when the original hymns were written. The words of the hymns were put over bar tunes so that people who would spend time in the bars, would come to church and sing along to the songs they knew.

One of my closest and oldest friends who helped me along with my christian walk and is a real brother to me just told me last night over the phone that he doesn't believe in Jesus anymore. I listen to this song and I am overwhelmed. I love Jesus with all of my heart but part of me says "how could this happen?". I know none of you know me personally but if you are sending up some prayers I could definitly use them.

and the words came out to me " i am here for you, follow me" i am now full in the faith mentally and am praying god forgives me of my past treacheries against him, my sins in ny case. this song actually has a little history with me. when i was in a summer camp one of my friends was having troubles with depression and she began to cut her self during a concert/ gathering and i stopped her gave her a hug and a glow-in-the-dark cross i had gotten from the camp store and she has had it ever since.

It's confusing, but the Godhead three in one. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three essences in one being. When people mention God, they are referring to the whole being. Worship does not have to be the same for everyone. Some people worship with an organ and a hymnal and they feel God's presence, others feel God's presence through being loud, making a joyful noise, and worshiping with everything they have within them. This song is by no means worldly.

@jondabill1 You really do not understand the point of christian rock do you? Its not rebellious at all. It is nothing like the glory hogging secular bands. It is to reach out to people who are lost, who wouldnt normally come to church or listen to words of worship. It is the same tactics that were used when the original hymns were written. The words of the hymns were put over bar tunes so that people who would spend time in the bars, would come to church and sing along to the songs they knew.

One of my closest and oldest friends who helped me along with my christian walk and is a real brother to me just told me last night over the phone that he doesn't believe in Jesus anymore. I listen to this song and I am overwhelmed. I love Jesus with all of my heart but part of me says "how could this happen?". and the words came out to me " i am here for you, follow me" i am now full in the faith mentally and am praying god forgives me of my past treacheries against him, my sins in ny case. this song actually has a little history with me. when i was in a summer camp one of my friends was having troubles with depression and she began to cut her self during a concert/ gathering and i stopped her gave her a hug and a glow-in-the-dark cross i had gotten from the camp store and she has had it ever since.

It's confusing, but the Godhead three in one. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three essences in one being. When people mention God, they are referring to the whole being. By asking him into your life, you are given the ability to live for eternity in Heaven beside him. And that's just your belief, I dont believe in heaven hell and earth. I believe in reincarnation, heaven, hell, the physical plane, and the spiritual plane. Heaven and hell are both on the spiritual plane.

That is the real hell, being forced to believe something from fear. I believe in God btw, but if I go to hell for not believing those crazed christian beliefs, I will go to hell gladly, and I will guide myself through hell's door because I know I stood up for whatever I believed.

@TheCrownedMedia There is nothing heroic about going to hell...it's not some video game you get points for or something- you can't mod life-The bible isn't telling you to fear it's telling you to believe - I just turned 17 and have been a christian for about 4 years. I wasn't scared into my faith but it was a choice - God didn't want anyone to be scared, but wanted them to choose. That's what separates us from the world. By following God we are set apart from those things and find meaning in God

I have gone to church my whole life and i'm 15 now. about a month ago I learned what it really means to get saved and I talked to my pastor and I gave my life fully over to Jesus and got saved for real this time<3 If you don't know me you have lost nothing but if you don't know Jesus you have lost everything! Ever since I gave my life over to Jesus a month ago, My life changed<3

He doesn't give us what we want, but gives us the opportunity to get it for ourselves. It isn't God's or Jesus's fault that we're in debt to China or anyone else.
