The english dub of seasions 1, 2, and 3 are the best, and among the most easy on the ears/mind dubs out there. Sure, the hack writers that did fill in for silence needed to be slapped a few times for some of the REALLY bad puns, but otherwise, they were spot on.

Digimon has what's considered one of the best Anime Soundtracks ever (it has more than 100 Music Albuns).
We can even hear a lot of classical music like soundtracks. Heck, this show even has Ravel's Bolero. Changing the background music is the same as killing the whole concept.
Digimon Adventure has wonderful characters, lots of subliminar culture and a LOTS of symbolism. =) Pay attention to it.
This is defenitively my favorite animated show EVER.

Aside from that, the translation's awesome. Brazil kind of they heired the digimon rap opening from US.

Digimon was before Yu-gi-oh, Naruto, and Pokemon in Japan. Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon came to America first though. And Digimon was way before Naruto.
