I recommend a Phi, it's the type of straightener I use. It actually doesn't damage my hair at all and is design to somewhat repair split ends. I know weird right? I have super thick Italian hair that's got split ends all the way up to my scalp and the only time I wear my hair down is when I straighten it (sad huh?). I find what works for me is after straightening my hair dry, I may put a little argon oil in. It helps a ton (buy from sally's), I also use Wen hair conditioner (It really works).

What you have to do: A) Convince them that Gothic is just a subculture:taken from an expression of art, music, and literature and that it won't affect anything that you do academic-wise, etc B) Acquire black clothing and don't wear colors until they get the picture C) Dye your hair, it's just hair, tell them, it grows back, eventually they'll just say "the hell with it, it's just a phase, they'll get over it"

What might help you with getting your hair pin straight is putting like your top layers up and getting the bottom long layers so you got that bitchen pin straight sexy hair. Lol Looks good
