hey great video... im actually applying this year for september... how does the ensemble placement work?

how would this one compare to some others?

any recommendations for the audition?

Hey man. Ensemble placement isn't worked out until the first week of school. basically, you play for your department head so they can see where you're at, and then they'll ask you what kind of ensemble you want to be in.

This is one of the top schools ensembles, so I'm very blessed to be part of it, as well as the jazz orchestra too. Good luck with the audition. Play well and you'll be fine.

Haha, well it was during our school's "Performance Week" where all 40+ of the school's ensembles play for eachother, so there's usually people there. The guy drumming his leg is Tom Grosset (I'd youtube search him if I were you), who switches off with the other drummer Otis.
