  • Hello gc9n,

Yes, very lightweight 5/8" square aluminum tubes and Hitec digital servos.

My latest & best camera mount design can be seen at the beginning of my recent YouTube video titled "Mikrokopter - In-flight test of new vertical camera mount".

On this new camera mount I am using the Graupner MKDS18 servos, which in my opinion are the best you can get for a camera mount.

    Tom

  • hi nice mount the material of the mount is aluminium square tubes.? what servos do you use? thanks a lot

  • Awesome, thanks for posting this. I will check out your other vids as well.

  • Hello Bobms4me,

I built this mount in my workshop according to my own specs & needs, however since this video was posted I am now in the middle of building the third upgraded generation of it. I will be posting a video next month detailing the new mounts improved construction & performance.

  • I WANT your camera mount, tell me where you got it. thanks!

  • What kind of camera mount is that? Do you have it hooked up to anything to keep it stable when flying? thanks

  • @ProRealEstatePhotos

Hello and thanks for your interest in my camera mount. It is my home made design based on a combination of other peoples versions of camera mounts. The camera is kept stable during flight by the stable flight characteristics of the Mikrokopter and the gyro stabilized action of the camera mount who's yaw & pitch servos receive commands from the onboard flight control computer & 3D gyroscopes to keep it level during flight even if the Mikrokopter is not.

    Regards,

    Tom

  • Great build, well done, Im going to be trying to emulate what you have done.

    Cheers

    Mike

  • @Stacky18

Thanks Mike, I appreciate your comments. Best of luck with your build. Check out one of my other YouTube video's called "Anatomy of a Heavy Lift Mikrokopter Quad". You may find some useful ideas there to help you.

    Best Regards,

    Tom (tkeeg)

  • Very nice Mikrokopter, could you please post a link where I can get more information like forums etc thanks.

  • @bamboozledguy

For some reason, YouTube will not let me post the links for you. Send me your email address & I'll send them to you.

    Regards,

    Tom

  • i'd love to build my own quadcopter. i wish someone had a blog with all the process of building one. From hardware to software and test flight. Guess i'll have to go trial-error :) Excelent work!

  • Gorgeous setup. Very nice.

  • @thisguyhere44

Thanks for your comment. I hope to have my updated video posted within the next few weeks showing the new improved version of this camera mount and my improved Heavy Lifting MIkrokopter Quad along with building details & photos.

  • Hey this a very nice video and nice build..

Can I post this on my site.?

    mikrokpopter.us.

    thanks

    Ziggy

  • Hello Ziggy,

    Yes, by all means!

You have a very nice website and online store. Best of luck with it!

    Tom

  • Tkeeg, cool camera mount. How did you build your lander - I understand it isn't the normal lander from quad mikrokopter.

    thanks in advance.

  • Hello jmajaufl,

    Thanks for your comment.

It would take far too many typed characters to answer your question in this very limited space. You can read over my posts (“tkeeg”) from the past several months in the RC Groups Forum I belong to and get your answers.

My posts are in the Mikrokopter/UAVP/Quadrocopter thread in the Multi Rotor Helis section.

It is a great forum with lots of good information and some very smart & creative people.

  • @jmajaufl Hi nice video have you should make some of these and sell them online or eBay for a reasonable price i can buy one from u if u think that u can sell me one thanks

  • @al420ful: Hello & thank you for your comments.

I do not produce these for resale; however there are a few persons/companies on the RC-Groups Forum who do make & sell different types of Mikrokopters & camera mounts. You can find a lot of information in this thread of the forum: Mikrokopter/UAVP/Quadrocopter thread in the Multi Rotor Heli section.

I will be posting another video in the next few weeks that will show my new & improved camera mount and a new heavy lifting Mikrokopter.

  • Tkeeg, great video. How are the CF blades from the LCC shop as far as balancing? They are pricey but would be worth it if they're perfectly balanced. It would be like $230 US for me for 8 props b/c the only come in sets of 4 and I need 6 for my Hexa. I'd imagine they're since they are hand made they're balanced as they're made? Also I think we use the same canon camcorder, the R10?

  • Hi Redhotpearl1,

I love the CF props! Most of the one's I've gotten from the LCC Shop were perfectly balanced when they arrived, but a couple were very close, but not perfect. I just put a tiny piece of tape on the undrside to make those couple of props perfect. I bought them for both my Hexa & Quad, plus a couple as spares. I use the Canon Vixia HFS100 camcorder for most video, but I think that I used the Canon SX200IS for this Youtube video.

  • @tkeeg Very cool, thanks. Our camera is the vixia R10, it looks just like yours. We love it. I was also looking at the SX200IS for stills, I think we talked on RCgroups about it. We'll see about the props. Looking to get a new mount as well so it's one or the other at this point.

  • i wanted to see how much it will be if i can get you to make me a mikrokopter quad like yours? i have my own fpv gear.. just wanted to see if maybe sent u know how to make it already maybe u can make a other one to sale me for a good price!! i have a Dx6i to use for radieo

  • @Ec130Rhine: Hello, unfortunately I do not produce these aircraft for the public at this time. They are sophisticated machines incorporating a flight control computer, a navigation control computer, 3 dimensional gyroscopes & accelerometers, an atmospheric pressure sensor, an electronic compass and a GPS system. I would have to charge several thousand dollars.

  • 12" carbon props??? Where did those come from?

Was the roll tilt camera mount totally designed by you too?

    Very nice design!

  • @RepairBucket : The CF props are cutom made by Christian linke of the Lcc-Shop in Germany.

Yes, I designed the camera mount system & got most of the parts from Servo City.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it!
