FIRST OF ALL, it was already anounced that the claptraps aren't going to have any part in the storyline and that they are trying to come up with a new mascot ( this has to do with the claptrap winding up on the top ten most hated scifi characters list, close behind Jar Jar binks), so the only claptrap you might expect to see is the interplanetary ninja assasin claptap because he was reprogrammed!

Do you not pay atteintion to anything, it was announced in a video released after the release of the last dlc that they had begun creating Borderlands 2 directly after the completion of borderlands because they were so sure that borderlands would be successful.

the video also said that the claptraps would be almost nonexistant in borderlands 2.

it IS most likely a direct cause of the claptrap being #4 on the top 10 most hated scifi characters of all time list.

@ANIOLATORV Funny, but I beat the game plus all the DLC, (Zombie Island of Doctor Ned was my favorite) and I never got really deep into the game it just felt like I had to beat it not that I wanted to beat it so I could figure out how the story ends, because there was no real story. Plus it kinda bugged me that they would mention other planets in Armory of General Knoxx, like Promethias,( I'm sure I spelled that wrong) and you didn't go there or even hear of it again.

I think that if they stayed with this style, the game wouldn't have as big of a fanbase. The art style helps the game stands out, and gives it a more laid back tone.

@TyphorT38 they will never make this game in this way, from my understanding the art style they were using would have taken an extremely long time to create and they had deadlines to reach. also don't quote me on this but i think the gfx were too much for the consoles to handle originally (ok they could handle it but it wouldn't look the way they wanted) so they had to make sacrifices witch eventually lead to them changing the art style completely in the end with all the deadlines.
