Shadow priests run with 4/5 mooncloth for the set bonus which can't go unignored. Having 4 pieces of spirit gear also gives you the hit benefit from the twisted faith talent in the shadow tree You can then reforge the excess spirit into haste

nice video...but a little wrong on the stats...you definetley don't want to have crit as your main stat, you want to focus on haste, then spirit, then crit, then mastery...getting hit rating is a bad idea due to the fact that spirit gives us hit, and mana regen

Was a decent guide but your stat priorities are very wrong. You said to get crit capped then you said mastery is best while it has always been haste as best stat with the exception of hit.

Dots rotation:

you should actually cast mind blast whenever it pops and has shadow orbs. because this rotation is all about making the dots stronger. so the dot rotation is all about staking dark evangelism and empowered shadow.

glyph of disperse is way better than mind flay.... not to mention glyph of mass dispel is sooooo important especially for arenas.... you cant afford to have mass dispel 1.6sec cast... it needs to be shortened... if your fighting a pally or a mage in arenas and you have a slow ass mass dispel and you have for example a rogue on you... you willl never get it off.. you may juke them but even the time that you put into a juke the person in bubble or Ice Block will have already been topped off

@clauricaune That is not a half bad idea. I'm going to have to put through a spreadsheet and find out. I'm currently using the Mooncloth mantel to get the set and have a non PVP robe. It seem to me I looked at it and decided I wanted the stats instead of the resilience. Hmmmmmm.

Bottom line, it's best to put it though a simulator or a spreadsheet to be sure. I use the EJ website and simulators.

@jufulu Without getting into too much detail, the Mooncloth mantle is rated about 13% (YMMV) higher. It seems go all Mooncloth. It seem that I may have some shopping to do. It just goes to show you that intuition is not always right.

One of the best guides ive seen in layout, and the way the information is put across is good. Some mistakes ofc, such as in PVP you want to stay away from mastery completely, as your orbs can be dispelled soo that= wasted reforge. Go completely haste>Crit.

Also as a SPriest reforge Hit to Spirit.

As an example, the Ramakhan Exalted Boots come with Haste+Hit. Reforge the Hit to Spirit or to Mastery.

With new clipping system, its possible to clip a DoT and let that DoT proceed as it normally would without losing a tick.

Ergo, for optimal dps, try to clip Vampiric Touch at 4:15 instead of using Mind Flay again. Maybe there's more examples throughout the clip but you get my point.

I did make one little mistake. For PvE it is recommended that you Reforge almost everything into Haste, and Mastery. They are the quasi "Manditory" stats for PvE, whilst Crit is more important [in terms of prioritization] in PvP.
