The Stylistics were cool when I was a REALLY little kid. Some of my earliest/best childhood memories seem to have this music as a soundtrack. I was born in a small town in the midwest and moved to the city as a kid. Living in that small town I thought I belonged in Philadelphia or something. I also loved the Spinners from around 3-years old. There's a tenderness and sweet optimism in this music that's hard to describe. Now, I play this music for my kids hoping it will go with good memories too.
