This looks like a great film. I don't suppose it is available with English subtitles? No, maybe not. Is the title of the film the same as what is written above the video? "In ? nights ?"
Idiots here arguing politics and which country is better. Russia was one of the first to recognize the United States as a country. America was first to help the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic war. Outside of the Cold War era, Russia and USA have always been allies - and even though ideologically opposed during the cold war, we still helped each other out. Many a Russian ate bread made from American wheat. Grow up boys! Appreciate the differences, but also what we have in common.
Like I said. I have tremendous respect for the Russian people, and European civilization owes them a great debt. As for the Bolsheviks, they were Left-wing fascists a step below the Nazis. That those two-legged pigs were allowed to abuse, enslave and murder so many people for so long is a blot on human history, and we all should be ashamed for allowing them to go on as long as they did.
@subscriber77 The fall of Russia was a tragedy for the world. The fall of the Soviet Union marked the freedom of Eastern Europe, and saved Russia from fascist Marxist tyrants.
Stalin did not defeat Hitler. Stalin and Hitler were once friends, and birds of a feather. It was the Russian people who saved Europe, not once but thrice.
Nice story.. its almost better than Tolkien's books. The problem is that his fantasy stories are much more original and better to read. Your fantasy story is just boring, trite, and revisionistic. Maybe if you keep repeating it people will start believing your stories. Its a famous recipe from Goebbels, i think you would get along great.
@Okhlopkov I'd suggest verifying my "fantasy story" with an Estonian account of the period. I'm sure an elderly fellow from Poland could fill your ear as well.
"Revisionist" my arse. Go read some books on the Stalinist era, especially in regards his alliance with Mr. Goebbels and Co between 1939-41, the "Winter War", etc.
Estonian or Polish eh? you mean those countries who collaborated in such a high degree with nazi-Germany? Poland who didnt want the stationing of Soviet troops on its land because it actually wanted to ally with Germany (and got nailed in the process). Or Estonia who murdered their jewish minorities in such ways that shocked even the nazi's. Alliance? ohhh.. you still believe that the non-aggression pact was an alliance, poor guy. Talk about being a slave to the media. Try studying the pact.
@Okhlopkov The Baltic States were "collaborated" into invasion by 1939. I don't remember any of the Estonian, Lithuanian or Latvian leaders being invited to teh talks between the Nazis and Bolsheviks that sealed the deal. And the Poles were "collaborated" to death from two directions, fighting all the way. The Soviets took part of Poland after the war and enslaved the rest. And I haven't even mentioned the Ukranians, who were treated by the Soviets as the Jews were by the Nazis.
@subscriber77 If you're a Left-wing fascist, it must certainly appear that way. The liberated slaves and survivors of Soviet gulags and tyrants, of course, feel differently.
You'll just have to get over it. Just like your national socialist comrades in 1945.
@Hissanrach And what "history" would that include? The crushing of Hungary? The supression of Bucharest? The massacres in Afghanistan? For 40 years after WW II, the USSR was the arsenal of tyranny!
The Bolshevik Empire was based on theft and murder. The problem was that, once they had killed all the entrepreneurs, there eventually was no money left to pay the goons that kept the Soviet Union alive. When that happened, that miserable feudal fascist tyranny fell to pieces like a house of cards.
@DrCruel I see you did a good job of highlighting the poor parts of a county's history. All countries have their sins, that's not a surprise. However, the more you know, the more you will see in shades of grey. Radical belief in anything succumbs to pure truth and understanding over time. I understand why you feel the way you do; many others see it the way you do as well. But I'll let you believe what you will, as it is pointless to debate. You will learn and so will I.
@Hissanrach Not the country, sir. Not the Russian people. These are crimes of Bolshevism, a gang of murderous thugs and criminals who usurped power in Russia without the people's consent. I honor the people who stopped the Bolsheviks of Germany - the Nazis - but not the NKVD Bolsheviks who stood behind them with machine guns, shooting dead anyone who tried to fall back.
The Bolsheviks were certainly no better than the Nazis, and in many ways worse. There's nothing about that to argue about.
@DrCruel You, stupid fool! You read many lies about my lovely country, THE USSR. Very many people loved Bolshevism en communisme. This is the best system for common people! We hate them who destroyed our motherland.
@loveUSSR There were lots of "common" people who liked the Nazis too.
Here's a question for you. Russia has been a powerful nation for almost a thousand years. Since the Bolsheviks, it's an economic basket case, having lost half its size and with half of Europe despising them.
Who are you going to blame that on now, eh? The capitalists? The Jews? Why not sing me the praises of Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin while you're at it.
@DrCruel Russia was never so powerful as at the times of Soviet Union! Europe didn't like Russia but it hated Soviet Union. Why? Because it became more dangerous for the capitalistic world than ever. Why can't I blame capitalists who got the power all over the world for their dirty money? I do blame them. And who are you? Not Russian for sure?
@loveUSSR Russia was most powerful during the 17th-18th centuries. The Bolsheviks crippled the nation, and because they allied with the Nazis instead of the Allies they made it that much easier for Hitler to devastate the country - which, as bad as it was, was not as terrible as the Bolshevik campaign of terror during the 1930s.
At the end of the Bolshevik era, Russia was left a broken, disunited, polluted wastelend of crumbling infrastructure and backwardness. They are only now recovering.
@DrCruel Of course Russia was powerful but the Soviet Union was more powerful and all people could have a good life, not only princes and other "grand people". You don't like it, I see. One question: have you ever been to SU and and then to Russia? If no, ok. You can go on reading fucking perestrojka books. But don't tell ME that Russia is recovering now. It is really stupid to say so if only you read some news about all the former republics of my lovely Soviet Union.
@loveUSSR Yeah, right. The life in the Soviet Union was so very good, that armed guards with "shoot-to-kill" orders were kept on the borders to keep the people from escaping. The Berlin Wall was specifically designed to keep East Germans from escaping to the West. And in the "good old days", the Red Army occupied half of Europe as a Russian colony.
Compared to the cesspit that was the Bolshevik Empire, Russia is indeed recovering. For one thing, consumer goods are actually available now.
@DrCruel Yes, that's why almost all usual people from the "former colonies" want back. Not the governments, but usual people, for whom, you, democrat, have no respect, of course. It is your lying democracy we got. All Soviet "colonies" lived better that Russian people. It differs really much from American and European colonies.
@DrCruel And it was more than good and right to keep the Wall. Some people say now it had to be bigger. We got consumer goods of bad quality, terrorism, prostitution, drugs, mafia, bandits in the government together with your fucking democracy! Russia is recovering! Do you hear what the people from the Caucasus do in Russia? And russian government never punish them. But they punish russian people if they beat back and very much. A wonderful recovering!
@loveUSSR In the Soviet Union, there were few if any consumer goods of any quality for the people, state terrorism, and a huge government-run mafia called the KGB - the very group in Russia that makes up the mafia now. As far as "drugs" were concerned, alcoholism was rampant - it was the only drug that most Soviet citizens could afford...
@DrCruel@DrCruel I can congratulate you, your three contries have already "recovered".Everyone who approves socialism, can be sent to the prison(a very recovering sign of democracy). The high education in Lithuania wil be so expensive very soon that it will be not possible for common people( who you don't like so much) to go to the University. And at the times of Soviet Union there were many Baltic people who were professors, teachers, doctors etc.But it has become the old past. Good luck!
@loveUSSR Oh my God. Are you defending the Stalinist record in the Baltic states by saying that education costs there are now rising?
Stalin made a deal with ADOLF HITLER to annex the territories. After the war, Stalin considered a "deal a deal" and kept the territories. What is it about the "little people" that all this was supposed to help?
As for socialists in my country, you clearly haven't been following US politics lately. They are wrecking my country. You're welcome to all of them.
@loveUSSR ... I know what the people of the Caucasus do in Russia - they worry that they might get the same treatment that Georgia got. But I can see how Russian Left-wing fascists might long for "the good old days" - where people were killed for trying to escape the "socialist paradise", where Russian imperialists could lord over their Eastern European slaves with impunity, and where a small band of corrupt Marxist aristocrats of the nomenklatura brutally ruled over a persecuted majority.
@DrCruel As I understood you are a small Estonian "brother". There is nothing to talk about then. I just wonder how people from the Baltic states can be so stupid but it is a fact. Now, when almost all old Baltic people dream of coming back to the socialist paradise and almost all young people dream of going to the West to clean the toilets rooms, you go on reading perestrojka books, which told us only terrible lies about our country.
@DrCruel haha, i what are you expecting trolling here? Fuck off bitch, or i'll find you and fuck you with my bolsheviks nuclear rocket in your fat old boursois ass :D
