I like Archie, but I prefer the original version by Robbie Williams. It's not that I don't like this version, but I just feel that if I only listen to this version and not the original, I would not love the song as much. Robbie has some kind of strange power in his vocal that can interpret the song so impressively. Archie, on the other hand just shows his passion, without any pain attached (which should be there in a song that is written by a father about his dead son)

When he sings one of the songs most important lines "when I am lying in my bed, thoughts running through my head and I feel like love is dead..." I dont for one second hear in his voice that this is someone who has ever experianced such an all time low. I just find it very insipid and generic and that is the last thing this song should sound.

@sukiekettels1 plus you can not think of Robbie when you hear this song, Robbie and Angels are so entwined with each other that you cant think of one without the other. Like Frank Sinatra and My Way or John Lennon and Imagine. Others will attempt them and may do a good job of it. But ultimatley they will always fall short because it isnt there song and it just dosnt quite fit with anyone else.
