Sounds like the spindle is a little bit underpowerd for the feedrates choosen on the first cuts.

Fabulous technology (except for the Ryobi router which probably needs to be replaced after every piece). I'm in the market for a 3 axis. Thanks for posting.

Why not use a lathe to rough the cone to shape, seems like that would save about 40% of the machining time, since routers are not exactly efficient at turning profiles.

Wow, that's nice. One question though, why not turn it on a lathe for 3 minutes to take away more of the extra material. I'm sure a nice turning job could shave off a lot of time for that part. Those were some deep cuts. Nice job!
