Why not use a lathe to rough the cone to shape, seems like that would save about 40% of the machining time, since routers are not exactly efficient at turning profiles.
Wow, that's nice. One question though, why not turn it on a lathe for 3 minutes to take away more of the extra material. I'm sure a nice turning job could shave off a lot of time for that part. Those were some deep cuts. Nice job!
Sounds like the spindle is a little bit underpowerd for the feedrates choosen on the first cuts.
