@rudybeatskcazm7 That is the only EOTech I own now. I have converted to Aimpoints for 1X Red Dots now. Most of the time my optic preference on an AR is a 1-4X scope. I and my friends have experienced enough issues with the EOTechs to make the move. I also prefer the battery life on the Aimpoints.

@HamTheDog Earlier on several of my friends as well as myself had issues with batteries dying / getting drained and being dead every other time we would go to the range. If you look closely you will notice that the upper is a RRA UTE with a fixed rear sight. I prefer the wide viewing area of the EOTechs for this, but I have come to prefer Aimpoints for most other applications and am a firm believer in the long battery life. The EOTech has done better with Energizer Lithiums.

Suppressor cans are not all expensive. My tac16 was only 400.00 plus 200.00 stamp. The tac16 can be taken apart and cleaned if you put tha baffels back the wrong way it will not suppress correctly. That may be why it is not so quiet. I have vids with a sbr and the tac16

Suppressors are not illegal. You need to purchase the tax stamp for $200 and wait until approved by the local authorities and BATF....usually takes around 3 months depending on your location. Don't think it's easy or cheap...the suppressor alone can cost in the thousands.

they can cost in the thousands but its not practical when you can buy one from companies like liberty suppressors for about $500. plust the 200 dollar tax stamp. youve got a solid suppressor for 700 bucks. that is if youre talking about ar15, m16, m4 platform rifles, or rifles that already have threaded barrells. of course if you need machine work done for barrell threading or what have you it will be quite a bit more expensive. go to liberty's website, look up the torch and watch the video.

Actually it's not bad for a suppressor. You have to remember that the ammo is not subsonic and you're hearing the sonic crack. I shoot 5.56 without hearing protection as well as 22-250. Sounds a little louder than a 22 LR Rifle. If you want quiet check out my 9mm AR SRT Video.
