are there 4 channels for lows and 4 channels for mains, and then you use a passive x-over or what?

the best thing to do is take all ur wires and twist them up together and stick them in the possitive terminal of ur amp! :)

im in the process of building a mobile computer to put in my tahoe and i was wondering how the computer and the deck work together do i have to have a deck or can i just use the touch screen computer to manage everything if not how do i get them to work together and get preamps out to my amp and get power to my door speakers i dont have an amp on my door speakers yet so how would i get power to them untill i can get one thanks steve THE BASS GOD

I don't not trust Steves design the guy is an expert in car audio and with that I would think has a lot of knowledge on how speakers work and how frequencies resonate ( I have a little bit of knowledge but it's definatly what I would call dangerous knowledge). I was just curious that's all.

Anyway in the past 4 months I got myself a new car (Audi A3 Sports Edition) And I have settled with a 2x12'' system that fires towards the trunk lid. sounds pretty nice in there I must say =].

So before you turn off the ignition...You have to shut down the computer first...right?

They do make a dc power supply for mobile units, once you turn the key on the system will start and once the key is turned off it will shutdown like normal. very simple process and also most has smart tech so if you have to crank and crank or have to play with the ingition switch it wont tunr the system on and mess it up. Ive installed way to many of these carputers into car and truck among other things lol
