  • My mother whispers b words to me

  • The beatles sued them 4 this

  • @tucsoncowgirl you are really effing stupid, one the beatles did not own the rights to their music when this was released in 1981, Michael Jackson did. and they paid to use it anyway. Paul McCartney even told them he loved the cover.

  • @Darkblossomxx Actually before Micheal Jackson owned them, they were owned by Lord Lew Grade for a while!

  • Richard Hunt RIP FOREVER!!!!!

  • LOL

  • i'm sure i heard this (some time) before ever hearing the original

  • The only thing that would have made this more perfect is if they had all bowed together.

  • I saw this in 78. I was 4 years old at the time.

  • I love that Ringo's actually playing the drumkit.

  • A+ for making the "Paul" puppet lefty. It's details like that, that make these things so great.

  • The muppets/sesame street and the beatles were two of the greatest things in my childhood!

  • Love that you have the TRUE muppets upon here!

  • Chris Cerf has done it again. How could you not love the buh-buh sound of letter "B?

  • Didn't the "beetles" do a song with U as well?

  • You are correct. It's Chris Cerf's "Thinking of U" with Richard Hunt again on lead vocals. Going back to "Letter B", did you know Chris and the team of Sesame Street weren't sued by the original group? I didn't.

  • Yes, they did. It was called "Thinking Of U", written by Chris Cerf and lead by Richard Hunt.

  • there should of ben 5 beatles cause the original band has 5 people

  • pricless. letter b.

  • the lead "beetle" sounds just like Gladys the cow :P

  • the question is : who cares

  • It seemed appropriate that the Beetles sang about the letter B :P

  • On The Beatles Version, Paul Played Piano and Billy Preston played The Organ Solo, Here Paul Plays Guitar and John Played Piano and Organ.

  • @Fartingbellybutton

That organ looks like the one John played on "I'm Down".

  • AWESOME!!!! Who does the voice of the lead singer? He's good!

I absolutely love this, as well as the real song.

  • @TelephoneRock4ever The late, great Richard Hunt voiced the lead Beetle.

  • @wileyk209zback: Thanks. I kinda knew it was Richie. He has a sort of baritone in his voice.

  • Wow!! The Beetles are so AWSOME!

  • i LOVE it looks like when i was a kid!!!

  • look its malachi!

  • That song is one of my most very favorites! Thanks ever so very much for posting this! I LOVE this song! BTW, if the letter people ever made guest appearances on Sesame Street, I bet Mr. B would enjoy this song. Especially since it's about the letter that makes his sound which starts with the same sound that starts "Beautiful Buttons".

  • Watch the Drummer at 1:29 as he breaks into the standard muppet drumming method

  • @rappdogg Muppet Ringo is no Animal on ths skins. :)

  • Exelente my Dauhther Love it. She is a 9 month baby and we sing all together....

  • That was truly WONDERFUL!! Sesame Street should've kept the Beetles because they have great songs and music that lots of people love, are really cute, and have awsome musical talent!

  • DOOD Clever ;3 .. letter B !

  • Awesome parody of the Beatles, complete with the audience being full of wild screaming girls!

  • I always get chills when I listen to this song, and the album version in particular. In some ways, it's even more beautiful to me than the original tune - apologies to the Beatles.

  • i was only 7yrs old when i first heard this...it still rings in my head to this day...

  • What does BMI stand for?

  • Bugs and Musical Industries. Get It? It's a spoof of EMI (Electric and Musical Industries). EMI is where The Beatles worked at.

  • @BuddyBoy600 It could also be a jab at American performing rights organization BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.)
