true, but if you want to get technical the song goes "time becomes A loop"...as in one. but really, i was simply messing around with video editing and thought the audio fit.
hey, this would come under minimalism, an area of music where theres is lots of repetition and the music is subtly changed bit by bit, it uses very simple ideas and is made up of loops, usually no real time signiture, also this piece actually uses a technique called layering, which putting different length loops together which move steadily apart and then end up back together, hope that helped =D

I don't know why you used such a linial image as tracks for a loop. I see the repatition, but just think therecould be more of a sense of a restart.

Nice video - towards the end of the video a different sound clip fades in that I've heard once before. Where is that from?
Phylum 1 year ago
@Phylum - It's called "Input Out" and is the closing track on the Brown Album.

Great video and superb phasing. Perfectly balanced.

@techno320
if the phasing is referring to the audio, I can't take credit for that, but the band orbital can! :)

The beginning, and ending tracks to Orbital 2... otherwise known as 'the Brown Album'

loved it! the blurry industrial vibe of the video combined with the trippy, sterile orbital track was brilliant...

@sms1777
thanks! the actual trip on the subway across the bridge is about 10 seconds but i tried layering it to create the concept of unending distance.

This is actually called phasing. And it would probably come under Experimental music, not minimalism.

416billy 2 years ago
in my school, we were doing minimalism and we had to put phase shifting into our compositons, so our teacher show us this
