The jews didn''t fight the german, the british dissed them to the americas and they worked really hard for what they have.Give them credit where its due. They don't wait and depend on aid like some of us do including the arabs too. They learnt there lessons well but didn't and don't want to.Alas!!This is africa!!
@K...it is a shame. What bothers me is how much is enough? i.e. Land? Yu get buried in a 6'' by 3' (?) why would anyone in their freaking minds aspire for hundreds of thousands of acres? Gandhi knew Toro, Gidi, Unyao n Cheruyots when he said: there is enough for 40 Million Kenyans there is NOT ENOUGH for one greedy Toro...ama? so annoying!
talking of which, I have heard that the Naivasha resort where they meeting is owned by the Kenyatta family. no wonder Uhuru anatembea na swagger cos ako kwao.
@K: Waoooo I didn't know that..conflict of interest ilienda wapi? Parliamentary Accounts Committee should now be screaming that the rooms were bugged and call for a repeat of the talks!
I wonder how many Kenyans Knows the history of Germany under Hadolf Hitler. Under Hitler, everything Jews did was wrong and everything Germans did was right. If Jews never made a decision to liberate themselves, today Israel would not exist. Kenyans needs to learn a lesson from Jews. In other words, as long as the system is the way it is,not now, not 1 million years will Kenya system of government cater for the poor. Jews in Germany knew that. Kenyans in Kenya dont know that.God bless Israel
@kiswahili day..Israel exists because the US created it and put Jews there. Jews could never stand up againsst Hitler. Germany lost the war and big brother US helped the jews.
This is part of the systemic plan by government to forcefully move the Maasai from Laikipia and Samburu for political expediency, this is the rot that the likes of Moi and Kibaki are trying to protect themselves from. We can give evidence that they unlawfully took the lands in question
@333 He is not...I tell yu the Maasai have been on the receiving end in all History. The colonialists took advantage and had them signing skewed agreements. The non-profits have greatly changed all that. It is time this government stepped in and protected the indigenous!
Siasabora, even assuming that Moi is the legal owner of the land, where is President Kibaki to solve this surely very solvable problem? If it is money Moi wants for the land, cant the government step in and buy that land on behalf of the Maasai? We need people like Jimmy and Madam Lucy to talk to President Kibaki at the kitchen table and tell him enough is enough. Madam Lucy and Jimmy please kindly do something, at least for the Laikipia Maasai: For the sake of the Maasai women and children.
@333 This country has an ODM Lands Minister who learnt being deaf and dumb pays when in gov't! 333 If we keep bringing in President Kibaki into every issue Ferry, Tree planting, Moi's greed, Jogoo House thieves, Kiswahili, Road Accidents, Faizal....what are the 42 Ministers doing? Yu and I know Kibaki delegates unreservedly but no one wants to work! Look at the PM he is totally burnt out now...planting trees! Apply division of labour fairly!
Siasabora: Kenya land issues are essential and yet very complicated. President Kibaki must offer a very clear direction regarding the land policy of his Government, on whose basis Ministers must take action. You have heard Gideon Moi call Raila, a spanner boy and he is right. Raila is not involved in resettling Mau evictees in the Molo region. The land problems in the Mau and Laikipia are revolving around the pastoral Maasai. This is not good for our country. President Kibaki must act now.
@Savai333 : Right. He has to show leadership or else the pastrolists will take matters into their own hands. Imagine a whole president is attending more funerals than to state matters! ati 'Kazi iendelee'! aje? bila supervisor?
You think Kibaki will act? Kibaki has done the last action ..... for now till 2012, you can rest assured or burn without him coming to help.... why did Kenyans elect him when they knew his ways?
Kibaki should be ashamed for allowing his corrupt and immoral predecessor to continue harassing and robbing Kenyans. Moi claimed to be the protector and defender of minority & marginalized pastoral communities but that was just a ploy to exploit them. May Moi burn in hell.
Moi Grabber arap Mashamba( new retiree name).... 17,000 what??? and he want the same landlesssss to be evicted!!!! SHAME... SHAME!!! did the Norok Council give him this too!!! the ministry of lands shud not allow this... in the new Kenya!

President Kibaki, where should the Maasai go? Why do you allow Moi to do this? Are you prepared for the ethnic animosity that you are creating?
