it ford & Firestone fault ford should have not put the air pressure so low & Firestone should have not put a Tire out them that haved problems i have Goodyears on my car & my Wife car Goodyear makes very good Tires that is just my opinion but ever one got them own opinion so to me Goodyear makes very good Tires & Firestone dont them still dont make good Tires but the government finally had to force Firestone to do the right thing so let hope them make ok Tires soon let hope them do soon.
Diamondback Tires (Classic Whitewalls) sold me some Firestones on line as PREMIUM TIRES, and won't take them back. DON'T TRUST DIAMAONDBACK TIRES of Conway S.C.
My dad had that happen in am old Jeep Wagoneer with those tiers. Everyone was fine but the whole side of the tier was gone and this was around 1996 or 1997.
while i feel for this person and what happened. they ask if the recall was wide enough. next question. was the parameters of this story wide enough? was the tire underinflated for some reason (under 30 lbs) which FORD put out in a statement during the recall that the door placards call for 26 and it should be 30. if they were low on air tires generate more heat underinflated and at higher speeds like that and treads separate because of it. If this gentleman was so adamant about---->

what they don't report is Goodyear, general and bfg were having the same problems at a GREATER complaint pct. with these vehicles...hmmm...
