Some parts of this movie are hard to watch because they are long drawn out and boring but it does have many highlights that make up for it! Spencer Williams was a christian man and he incorporated scripture into all of his movies. The most powerful movie he made in my opinion was Go Down Death!

The CURSE of Jesus and the IGNORANCE of our people are prevalent upon us to this very day.
This is a heartbreaking film to watch. I can choose to DENY their stupidity; be ANGRY at their tomfoolery; BARGAIN that they know Jesus is a myth but are just acting along to earn a living; I can be DEPRESSED that after all the evidence we have today, our people still think Jesus is real... but I cannot and will not ACCEPT that our people will worship this IDOL forever.

mr kick whites have you ever read the entire bible?, what would you say that the events in the bible that are coming through is MYTH?,when you understand that you are special to jesus and he died for you you would have experienced the greatest joy ever, instead of living a sad ,lost life.
