  • I'm so in love with his voice. so fucking special!

  • brilliant perfomances!! :D

  • Love how the guitarist's got a squier; it's about what you can do with it, not what you have!

  • @ArtjomGlad that's a bit of a weird thing to say, considering the amount of really expensive units used on stage (keyboards, LOADS of effects, electronic drums), the guitarist especially uses loads of effects and rarely uses a traditional guitar sound thought the show.

They do great things with all this equipment, but they wouldn't sound nearly as good if they didn't have all that money.

  • my friend and i cried at this set. no regrets.

  • hahahaha dude in the crowd "i love your accent". genius.

  • there are three of them, people! james is a front man. I can' understand, why the ignoration multiplays so easily...

  • @tovev8 firstly, neither 'ignoration' nor 'mulitplays' are a word. and secondly, he is not a front man; he is the composer and the performer, and the musicians who accompany him are his band. james blake is the artist. who's multiplaysing the ignoration now, man.

  • he is a fucking genius

  • ooo wilhelm scream and to care were sooo nice

  • 00:06 HUBBA HUBBA

  • This show turned me on to JB so I'm super thankful ACL had him and he endured the weather for us. Such a great set. The subwoofer king of ACL

  • whoever mixed this did a poor job, im sorry

  • This kind of music need a small dark room with lots of hippsters and even more hot chiks weed and alcohol..

  • @sainless1 I'm going to allow this comment. But I'm going to be watching you.

  • I really feel like for me the first song would be amazing if it weren't for all that fucking banging. Just throws off the entire song for me.

  • 26:40-32:51 The whole song was Magic! :)

  • The set was freaking amazing. I got so angry at the girl standing next to me who decided to have a shouting conversation the entire time. I don't care if you talk during a show, but go to the back of the audience. I <3 the bamboo people! Ya'll were at almost every show I was! Major props! "I never learnt to Share" was awesome live!

And the heat wasn't bad at all. I think the high was 86 that day...there were plenty of clouds and a bit of rain even.

  • The sun in Willhelm Scream magnified the "melting" effect of the song :) . Awesome set, the lack of bass over here don't make it justice, but it's great to bring back the memories.

  • Being in the audience, relatively close to the front, I laughed so hard at some of the people, I had the best dancers around me. So calling the audience boring is something you can't tell by the few glimpses of them. Plus the set up was phenomenal live, or at least I thought so.

  • to all of you talking shit about the audience: it's not like we're going to dance and jam to james' music... this ain't dance music people.. this is for hearing.

  • i hate people who have a go at the crowd, unless youve been to a see james blake live you realise you dont dance or shout out, it wrecks his loops and hes so hypnotic everyone's stuck in a trance

  • @yarnbarros Also, it should be pointed out that ACL is a music festival. The whole crowd isn't there just to see him. It's one of the things that I love about ACL. If you like an artist, you show up early and get really close for their set with all the other fans. If you're just enjoying the day, you can relax and listen to some music without going crazy unless it's a truly amazing show. This was a good set, no doubt, but it's not gonna blow peoples' minds who haven't heard of him before.

  • anyone know where I can find beardyman's ACL set? that was fantastic

  • what a boring crowd, is there any drug in anyone´s pocket around there

  • One of the most unique acts around. Very new and fresh. I love it.

  • he was the first show i saw at ACL... he BLOWED my mind!!!!

  • (and there's definitely not enough coaches in the field.)

  • it's like someone doing poo in the shape of mona lisa.

  • this was my favorite show at ACL

  • this dudes amazing. i honestly believe this is stuff the beatles would be doing if they were still around these days. james blake could easily qualify to write the Sgt Pepper cd of this generation. and im not just saying that to stick by a fellow James

  • come to australia again!!!

  • fuckin genius...i love his music!

  • 3:23 track ID?

  • @spiderscwein5 unluck

  • @lucasguera92 i already know haha i just forget it.. thanx btw^^

  • track id start @ 23:00 min please...

  • @strunzix To Care (Like You). It's off his album.

  • James Blake performing live is not dance music. If he dj'd his intial EP's and singles, then one would expect the crowd to dance.

The crowd are acting in a completely normal manner for his genre of soul/RnB/whatever you want to call it.

  • lol this crowd just won get it

  • dude in the crowd at 5.07 is friggin yawning...sniper rifle>>>>headshot now!!!

  • Recommend everyone go see him live if you get the chance! As good as this video is, it does not do him justice, the deep bone shaking bass is missing which is a shame :(

  • Wow, great live!

  • Awesome! This video seemed to cut out all the bass though.

  • this is awesome. would love to buy this on cd or as flac.

  • great live set! dude can sing!!!

  • seems like his nips got hard there. must be the wind.

  • Could someone post the setlist, please?

  • @dottybiscotti setlist: Unluck Give Me My Month Tep and the Logic I Never Learnt to Share Lindisfarne I Lindisfarne II To Care (Like You) CMYK Limit to Your Love Klavierwerke Enough Thunder The Wilhelm Scream

  • great artist

  • tep and the logic live, amazing!

  • @connieindahouse Agreed. sounded so great.

  • epic musician. just epic.

  • This Guy is simply fresh like a Waterfall....Next album will be great...

  • yessss! ;) Internet is such a convenient invention.

  • nice!

  • fucked !

  • can't wait to see him in november

  • Have you also got full set of Antlers, mate?

  • amazing set. shitty audience.

  • @JakTbh I definitely agree. This was my 3rd time seeing him, and I was the only one bugging out. Great set though.

  • @JakTbh

He played a relatively early set, people were never going to go insane at 3:30 in the Texas heat, instead it was like the whole audience was in a trance. Brilliant show.

Oh and apologies to the cameramen about my bamboo...

  • @refo09 dude, seriously, your bamboo messed up so many shots. Why the hell were you holding bamboo up, I would have been pissed if it was blocking my view at a live show...

  • @atm259

It only messed up camera shots, it was way to high up to bother any of the audience members views unless they were like 12 feet tall. In fact, that whole festival, everyone loved the bamboo, it was just bad luck we ended up in line with the camera for this particular show.

  • @atm259 i was there and i enjoyed the bamboo, it didn't mess up anything

  • @Musicalparaphernalia sweet life bro

  • fests like ACL just suck for artists like James Blake, his music doesn't go well with the set up.

  • @xponyxupx Not true. The set up was very loud.

  • I heard him from across the field on the other stage, ALOT of bass. Wish I could've been up front for this.

  • perfection. i wish i had his voice
