  • I absolutely applaud Congress on allowing American Citizens access to the broadcast spectrum THEY own.

We gave a trillion taxpayer dollars to irresponsible corporations and allowed them delays and every kind of slack.

Yet, you're willing to turn 5-10% of our public's access to their primary news and entertainment source to static and give them no slack?

I PERSONALLY would benefit from DTV as would brother who INVENTED satellite TV at Hughes.

Yet, I want a stable America FIRST before profit.

  • i bought one it blows i dont have an antenna on top of the house

  • Exactly, the delay is senseless, except for those without the $40 to buy the boxes. Imagine-I've lost my job, my home is in forclosure, can't find work, and now I can't watch The Simpsons or Oprah. Why go on? (j/k) For the procrastinators, the unbearable "snow" on their tv set will serve as a motivator..

  • You make good arguments about the change-over delay. I would agree 100% if the reimbursement plan had actually been managed properly, but no one ever got those $40 coupons/cards. Some people cannot afford the converters without the government subsidy, and since the government never sent anyone those cards as they were mandated to, the changeover should be delayed.
