If you pair he up with a pic of Prince (the musician) you can see a resemblence but that dosen't mean they made him to look like prince and if you look at a pic of DMC 2 dante's face as one half of the pic and new dante's face as the other half of the face then if you look they look similar too. So, I highly doubt he was made to look like the dude from Ninja Theory. And, also, the guy didn't buy the game from capcom they are working with capcom on this new DMC.
An advice to all DMC fans...change can be good dudes. I hated it as well when i saw the first trailer but now that i've seen some more footage i gotta admit it looks awesome. Also, be happy for the sheer fact that the series continue, or get rebooted or whatever. We're getting a new DMC and that's enough for me.

I find the game's graphic styles cookie cutter misshapen horror blended with a collective variety of topographical bland collage of gutter clogged urban, looming cathedral, and classic architecture to be lackluster. Complete with what appears to be a rather scruffy crack addict running gleefully and violently amok, of course. For cheeper, I could see much the same in Washington DC with Silent Hill to play for a few hours for what looks to be the same monsters.

@thehallowheads It IS a reboot. They completely rewrote the history of Dante so in this new game he is now the son of angel and demon rather than human and demon. If you even paid somewhat attention at all to the franchise you'd figure out that the white hair is actually a part of the DEMON genetics carried over to Sparda's offspring, as his hair was also white in human form. Therefore, this game is unrelated to the main series, hence, it is called DmC and not DMC5.

This is not a prequel sorry. This is not about Tony Redgrave. The facts are these:
1. It's a parallel universe. It does not occur anywhere before or after the other games. It has no connection with the main Storyline.
2. This is DMC in another perspective. Meaning it's a different DMC.
3. Half Angel Dante is not the same Dante.
4. He's a young Dante. But not "the" Dante.(The timelines do not meet.//parallel universe//not the main storyline)

But that does not change the fact they literally destroyed the Dante that made DMC what it is today. The Dante as we know him(UNBELIEVEABLE, but I too am a hardcore DMC fan) is a laid back, pizza loving, sundae-eating, missile-riding badass and Ninja Theory is taking that apart without askingn the actual fans and just going for what " the public " finds appealing nowadays.

The problem was that you no longer had the same body-chilling experience with it..annd you never would.
They continued it with RE5 and I still had naive hopes that they would make something different, but no. They made it an american game.
Even Shinji Mikami left because he didn't like the way things were going.

I find the game's graphic styles cookie cutter misshapen horror blended with a collective variety of topographical bland collage of gutter clogged urban, looming cathedral, and classic architecture to be lackluster. Complete with what appears to be a rather scruffy crack addict running gleefully and violently amok, of course. For cheeper, I could see much the same in Washington DC with Silent Hill to play for a few hours for what looks to be the same monsters.
Perhaps DMC6 will fare better.

it's like i want to see where this new dante will lead, but at the same time, why make a new dante? the one from the previous games were no problem at all (even dmc2 was ok at best, but it still showed dante, just much older and experienced). this new direction will either hurt the series worse than dmc2 in which they'll need to make ANOTHER game to overwrite this, or it could be a very wise move..

@thehallowheads It IS a reboot. They completely rewrote the history of Dante so in this new game he is now the son of angel and demon rather than human and demon. If you even paid somewhat attention at all to the franchise you'd figure out that the white hair is actually a part of the DEMON genetics carried over to Sparda's offspring, as his hair was also white in human form. Therefore, this game is unrelated to the main series, hence, it is called DmC and not DMC5.

Taneem who is the direct of Ninja Theory even says himself that it is a reboot of the series and this game can therefore not be included in the canon storyline as reboots are non-canon. What Trish got to do with this I have no clue.
