Despite being almost unusable because whoever decided on her growth rates was fucking insane, Meg's at least available for most of Part 1 (Fiona only gets 2 chapters, both of which she has decreased movement on and one of which is that stupidly difficult endgame), doesn't come in (as) horribly underleveled, isn't ever an Other unit, nor is holding a weapon that's heavy enough to make her attack speed lower.

Man, I thought I responded to this video last year.

The lack of a weapon triangle is actually beneficial to the player because they have far less units and the lack of player-turn save states isn't that big of a deal...

As for seeing enemy ranges, I found myself overly reliant on that function and made some stupid mistakes because of it. Without it, I was forced to plan out my moves more carefully. That said, my failures were due to me sucking and I don't think removing it was a good idea.

Lol, I played hard mode... the only thing that sucked about it was the stages like saving villagers or useless priest/meg characters :p once I got to use Ike's team though it became a cakewalk. Only that it is primarily luck.

If you have a 74% chance of hitting, and you need the hit to connect to be able the pass the chapter, there's only so much you can do.

In point of fact NM is significantly -less- luck-based because you can simply battle save.

FE4 is the only Fire Emblem game I have played where the level of skill required exceeds the level of luck produced.. if that makes any sense..

If you have enough skill, it reduces the need for you to have good luck. Ergo, if you don't put yourself in the spot where you NEED that 74% chance of hitting, you'll never need the luck to get it.
