Its polluting the ground with esters and styrenes contained in fiberglass resin, possibly poisoning a few rodents which may knaw on it but as far as communications is concerned its just giving the industry something to laugh at. I dont ever recall a single problem caused by the placing of organite near any antenna in 28 years and i dont ever expect to!!

I work in the communications industry, yes we often get complaints of headaches etc when we install new antennas. Kinda strange that people often claim to feel ill weeks or months before they've even commisioned though!!!

@peter161067 We always do commissioning in the industry I work in. The equipment is usually turned on and active before commissioning. Commissioning is typically the process of adjusting, fine tuning and final touches. Basically the system needs to be checked / measured / turned down to ensure it meets contractual and regulatory requirements. ** Your argument is quite possibly intended to lead people to believe that the system was not active before commissioning. @skewty What i'm trying to say is that in a lot of cases the reason for these headaches etc is purely psychosomatic. We often get our antenna contractors to install masts on all buildings involved in a particular project in one go. It is sometimes a few weeks before there is even any equipment on site never mind connected up and running and yet we still receive complaints of these symptoms which cannot be caused by anything being emitted by an as yet unused mast.

we dont require 3 sectors it is just the most common right now. 10 years ago it was 1 sector per tower. more phones in the area, more channels needed, more sectors used. some that only cover major hwy will have just 2 aimed each direction. towers that are close to a major event, ace track or mall, airport, may have 4 3 normal and 1 extra aimed at the event.
