It's been awhile since I've watched this video in its entirety. I must confess the author is an attractive woman. No subtext there, just the truth.

It's been awhile since I've watched this video in its entirety. I must confess the author is an attractive woman. No subtext there, just the truth.

I' asked about the well-publicized key members of the movement who later renounced their shackles and said they fell in love and that love was good with Jesus. And yes, they were two men.

This people that feel they were 'changed' by some deity, faith, religious doctrine, etc, when in reality they have not change at all. It amazes me how an indivisual can hav heterosexual experiences all their lives and then choose to have homosexual relationships and stay that way...and that is excepted in our socioty. Yet, if a person that has had homosexual relationships decides to move away from homosexuality then they are liars! We just look over the people in the bible that changed their lifestyle in 1 Cor 6:9-11. Its amazing how people are still proffessing change from homosexuality like they did over 2000 years ago!!!

He is liken to the prophets of bale...however, the alter that we present offers true power. He mocks our faith and everytime we speak highly of it he deems it arragance. I was tempted to respond with a prayer for you but don't like to use religion like that.
You mention dreams. I'm a believer in their power, and had dreams involving God. They were wonderful. Never has my being gay been questioned in them.

You believe that somehow the church is trying to con people with documents over 2000 years old so that you wont feel good about being gay. The POINT is that all you bring to the table are opinions and you are unable to cite anything that you say! homosexuality is a feeling. It is an attraction and/or sexual activity with the same sex. My only shame was trying to pretend I was something I was not (straight). Once I embraced who I was, THAT was when life began -- without lies to myself, my family, and to God. And yes, living a lie is a sin, one that's in the ten commandments.
The opposite of holiness is living a lie.

Elijah referred to the old & false religion succumbing under test to the newer religion we today call Judeo-Christian. Our issues do not arise from a conflicting religion outside this; rather, our positions within it. I don't believe in the indisputable accuracy of all Biblical text. There are hundreds of examples of factual error. I would suggest googling for "contradictions New Testament."

Part 2: The fact (and yes it's fact) that there are so, so many contradictions in Bible poses the question: IF the Bible is supposed to be all God's word, why would its scribes contradict each other? Logic, and theological study would seem to suggest a combination of (a) fallibility translating God's word by Bible scribes; (b) inaccurate translations of original text; and (c) revision and rewriting of Bible text by councils of men over the last two millennium.

Part 3: these three points also showcase dispute in interpreting NT passages such as 1 Cor 6-9:11. Additionally, the meaning of many passages are different via contextual & metaphorical valuations. (ex. Matthew 19:24: Does Jesus want us to try to push a camel through the eye of a needle? Does a rich person truly have zero chance of entering heaven? I take it as a lesson not to put money over spirituality, and to show charity to those less fortunate. But that's just interpretation.)

Nevertheless, this had not even come to past yet. The prophets of Baal made up their own religious beliefs and practices and called it power inspite of the beliefs of Elijiah. @superman4449, worship of Baal goes back 14 centuries BC, the Hebraic calendar less than four centuries BC. The word "pagan" means "Pre-Christian," which inherently says religions existed before Christianity. So not exactly sure what you are arguing ... ?

Matthew 2:1 says Jesus was born during the reign of Herod the Great.
Luke 2:2 says Jesus was born about 10 years after Herod's death.
Either apostle may be correct, but both cannot be. Thus one is incorrect.
So which do you believe in? You can't believe in both. Thus, you cannot say you believe everything in the Bible.
This is but one of many, many contradictions.
