  • How did you manage to get so many Kiwi's in Barcelona for the Haka ? Nice one.. :)

  • i hope they know that the haka is a tribute to our maori gods and that if not performed right you can curse yourself

  • i tink youtube should really take dis off...its a disgrace to da Maori culture...DONT DO IT IF U DONT UNDERSTAND IT LET ALONE KNO DA CORRECT WORDS!!!!

  • i think if any culture is going to perform the haka they should at least take notes on the meaning and the background on how to do it koz its more than jus screaming out a few words and slaping ur chest and poking out your tongue so yea nice but no...stick to yourown roots.

  • @hangeeff I disagree with this (your own roots thing) we are all just humans and truly we ALL have the same ancestral roots. I agree they should LEARN it all, ofc they should. the meaning and all. But anyone who can relate to the warrior spirit can get just as empowered by a ritual no matter where that particular ritual originated.

  • @hangeeff i envy the NZ people having the haka.

What you're saying is right, regardless of what your learning/attempting you should learn the reason or history towards that act.

  • hahaha good on yous for giving it a go i think it was cool.. its cool seeing other cultures taken part with maori things.

  • nice from a country that dances samba, and all the other beautiful styles to make a haka beautiful wicked try.

  • @calafornialove

samba is from Brazil, lets start with that.

it was made simply to mark the Hakka across the word

  • those are a bunch of divers..they no nothing about the haka

  • Comment removed

  • EPIC FAIL MATE.....!!!!!!

  • LOL

  • wat the hell were ppl thinkin, they have no idea wat the sayin ne where, i not kiwi, but i know that was an embarrassmet 2 the haka 4 sure

  • fuck what an embarrassment to the haka

  • Seriously BCN is not the place to do a haka ecept if you're issuing a challenge to the Mossos or other police forces lol.

  • Yo Eleveninfinity..same to the men....but as the men there would be too much of a PUSSY to slap IT like a REAL MAN.....The REAL MEN back in the DAY doing the Haka would make their chest bruised and bleed...cos THATS how they DO IT.....There's no (s) in the maori language...thats how they do it...pppsssssh ;)!

  • women doing hakas should have their shirts off... that's how they do it.

  • Great TRY!!!....Practice makes Perfect.....and GIRLS lean BACK...why are you so hunched OVER?....Yo to the CALLER/Leading it...Its all about PACE..its not a RACE ;)!.....Keep up the GREAT WORK ;)!.....a GREAT Haka for Woman is Kapana pana ;)!

  • Haha! Nice one!

  • this is stupid haka ever

  • That was great to watch. Good effort to the ladies!

  • could be better if girls were shut their mouth......

  • good effort

  • thought this was way kewl MASSIV Barcelona* MAURI ORA

  • I'm an Aussie, please correct me but isn't the haka traditionally men only?

  • @buduki1 Men and Women can do the Haka but its mostly men seen doing them. The Haka isn't reserved for any specific sex. In fact, there is a Haka that was made by women some 100 years ago.

Traditionally, it is an honor to have women perform with men because Women have the loudest voices.

  • @hazza3 Cheers for that hazza3. Always good to seek advice from people in the know. At least now I can correct many of my mates. Also might look up the female haka for good measure. FYI I don't like kiwis while the footy's on but I do enjoy the haka. :)

  • Thumbs up if you were there.

  • Very awesome!!!!!!

  • At least they tried... I mena how many hearty Maori's do you expect to be in Barcelona?

  • Woah chicks arent meant to do tha fuckin haka fukin white people :@ ihts a war dance not a fuckin femmine dance disrespectful much :@

  • embarrasing much!

  • Not the best haka, but the best effort and the greatest tribute. Orsum you fullaz!!

  • what a stink flash mob haka,to many whites:L

  • Agree it's not the best but really, it's Barcelona who expects anything more of a bunch of mostly foreign people who aren't brought up around the culture? We have white people (& maori) here in NZ who won't bother trying, let alone the people who can't haka for shit. Hell, I scan the line-up in a rugby game for kiwis who know the English version of our national anthem.

Pretty fucking proud there are people who've made an effort in this little craze to promote RWC, Maoridom, etc. Go ABs!

  • shit house

  • choice

  • Fucking awesome. Must have scared the shit out of a few Spanish people.

    Love the haka.

    Greetings from sunny South Africa.

  • Teno pai rawa, great work barcelona. If done again next time, get a wahine to teach the girls our protocol. Yes, wahine/women are allowed to do Haka but there are protocol they must follow, tumeke whanau.chur

  • ooowww that was stink ooww..

  • LMAOOO there not even kiwis broo

  • Yall maori's should be happy other countries like barcelona doing yo haka instead of mocking yall, Some of you guys think you all that and shit need to STFU stop acting like bitches shit

  • @25Lawlis maori's have a habit of doing that.. mainly due to the small penis sizes lol

  • @MrOzwinner LMAO

  • lol

  • :) at least they had the guts to try lol, even if they butchered it!!! go HAKA!

  • FLASH HAKA IN BARCELONA SPAIN!!?! im proud to be a new zealander :)

  • Who is the guy in the blue shirt? Lol

    Peanut is what peanut does!

  • I WAS JUST KIDDING ABOUT MY LAST POST... I HOPE U DIDNT THINK I WAS SERIOUS.. I WAS JUST DOING IT TO BOOST UR SELF-ESTEEM HAHA UR A FUCKING JOKE!!! THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!! THIS PERFORMANCE IS WORSE THAN CANCER!!! HAHAHAHA <3

  • THIS WAS THE BEST HAKA PERFOMANCE I HAVE EVER SEEN.. IT WAS EVEN BETTER THEN THE ALL BLACKS DO IT!!! I GIVE U GUYS PROPPS ON THIS VIDEO!!! IT WAS THE THE BEST!!!!

  • Men, women what the hell - the Haka is amazing in that it brings all people worldwide together. Yes, there are protocols and they'll never be forgotten but isn't it just fantastic that the Haka from Aotearoa has the power to bring peace and togetherness for all people, all cultures and all walks of life, some happiness, wellbeing and strength? (BTW I am a Maori from Aotearoa ;-)

  • there's a lot of chicks involved in this haka...mean!!! better than being at a James Blunt concert.lol.

  • This just doesn't seems right!!! lol

  • aahhahhaa fuckn crackup!!

  • Fried Chicken and Grape Soda Convention 2011

  • Fuck that was CRACK UP!

  • what a fucking joke , if you had of put 5 real maori in theat mix , the whole 200+ would have started to back up... Pathetic

  • PROUD to be kiwiana!!

    maoriora!!

  • girls doing the haka..? lol.. kul. bt great spirit !!

  • yea what the hell chicks dont do the haka, i dont care if its sexist but women should not be doing the haka

  • FAIL!

  • AROHA MAI WHANAU, KA PAI :)

  • what the. to be or not to be offended.

  • Cool Flash Mob. Not over organised. Average Haka. Pretty sweet to see it from Spain though - literally the other side of the world.

  • LOL I don't think that there were many Maori in that haka to be honest. That was pretty average. Most of them were completely out of time. Looks like a bunch of ex-pat Pakeha and Euros that aren't from Aotearoa. Even still good on them.

  • Awesome way to show what nzders are known for in many aspects! To the choreographer well done

  • Well done good on them! who cares if we nzers know the maori anthem one is enough! shouldnt be two! loving the hakas

  • gay lol, fail Barcelona

  • man worst flash mob haka ever. lookd like they didnt wana do it

  • @harbourbenched thats because half of them didn't know what the hell they were doing xD

  • was that a joke I dont even Know if there maori or not

  • hahahahaa!! what a crack up! shot barcelona! too much alright, Mauri ora :)

  • I wonder if this is helping to give Aoteroa some exposure where ever it is done...if so, perhaps it is not such a bad thing, regardless of the 'inappropriateness/incorrectness' that happens?

  • dont hate man. atleast they tried >< i mean, half of nz cant even sing the maori bit of the nz national anthem let alone do the haka. big props to you guys.

  • @DaryanTee yeah i in a kapa haka group and we goto major events and its hard to perform 4-5 songs let alone a flash haka i cant imagine how hard that would be

  • Tautoko Maoritanga awesome contemporary take on it. Good try guys n gals!

  • As a maori, thats just embarrassing, Do i good or not at all

  • @Maoriwog I reckon. That was fricking terrible.

  • The wahine shouldn't be standing like that atleast please- but mean whakaaro behind it, and kia ora to all for putting us out there! CHUR

  • The guy in the blue shirt was really keen to start!

  • holy bloody hell.. 2 meke all right.. any one can share, any race, color, size, social back ground,, Kia kaha

  • lol thats actually how a flash mob should be done. us maoris need to hand shake everyone after a haka. it aint a flash mob if people know its happening, its just a random haka in the street

  • This is AWESOME. I really enjoy watching our culture not only in haka wise but in other essence being adversed around the world. way to go 'mobsters.'

  • guys just let them do their thing and enjoy......our culture is expanding,

  • Rubbish, no true emotion, didnt know the words or actions, appauling and a disgrace to the New Zealand Maori culture!

  • stupid maoris on the dole

  • wow i thought that was pretty cool the fact it was done in barcelona and that there probably isn't 1 Maori doing it... so good on them... yeah there are the factors that the women shouldn't be doing it and that it's not done properly but oh well... it'll be different story if they were Maori then all the negative comments would be valid, but i reckon its mean as there are All Black supporters in Barcelona! Wohoo!

  • Who gives a shit if wahine shouldnt do the haka or what the meaning behind the words and actions are. Its reaching peps across the world be proud and not cut up idiots, im maori and im proud. MAORI FTW

  • @str8rippnnz GIRLS DONT DO THE HAKA ! if your maori, youd know tikanga! this is truly awesomethough love it!. but girls dont haka. NEVER. it is rude. i am maori, know tikanga and kawa, have spoken reo since i was born. i know girls shouldnt do haka like boys, look up 'te matatini o te ra haka' and youll see how girls haka.

  • @koolgeeh Id like to ask what part of nz you are from you may know tikanga and kawa BUT its different for different tribes bro think about it..Im assuming your from the east coast

  • @staceybishop88 so what your saying is that women from 'other' hapu or iwi poke their tounge out and spread their legs out in a crouch? bro you assumed i never thought about it. please tell me this iwi that does it exactly like a guy, cmon, one hapu, or iwi? and the answer to your dumb question is, im Te Arawa, Tuwharetoa, Tainui. no connection known with east coast. so what were you tryna say? is this discriminating iwi im seeing? why be like that?

  • @str8rippnnz good call boss.

  • @str8rippnnz

YEA BRAU IM MAORI AND IM PROUD TO BE MAORI

BUT HEY IF GIRLS WNA DO THE HAKA THEY SHOULD DO IT THE RIGHT WAY !!

HOW WE MAORI GIRLS DO IT

  • I'm a maori from gisborne. The wahine (women) shouldn't be bending their knees soo much, nor should they be slapping themselves so hard.

  • AWWWWWW, gosh at least they tried :) Kiwi's are the orginals, LOL kidddnnnggg :) love&peace bahaha

  • where im from the wahine and the kuia do the karanga not the haka but anyway thats in nz and not here in aus

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha - sweet as to see someone giving it a crack eh!

  • i bet these ppl dnt even no the meanin of this haka and the history behind it or wat the actions and the words mean, in order to teach them proply u need to provide a solid foundation of these things. thats why i say haka is not sumin that can be taught in 30mins.

  • i have nothin agenst other cultures doin the haka not if its done right. in karate u get tested in diff segments in order to achieve a higher belt level or watever, and the result in not learnin the actions right will result in gettin ur arse kicked. the achievements of the students karate abilities reflects on their tutor, if the tutor dnt teach dem right obviously theyl be quite sht at it, the same goes in this situation. if u wana teach the haka teach them in the way it should be done...

  • They didn't even do the actions properly...

  • All these people did amazing! Woooooww! I'm maori too and I'm so proud to see our culture spreading to places all over the world. Kia kaha!!

  • THIS IS EPIC!

  • Thats nothing. We had 1,000+ in Whangarei :D

  • Wow, all the way over in Spain. MEAN MAORI MEAN

  • buahaha farr mean alright big upz on this.. luv your haterz though they keep you grounded.. true story

  • lol that was shit

  • This is AWESOME!! Better than the Maoris back here in Aotearoa. Good to see the Maori culture spreading the world thanks to rugby. Chee neat alright ;)

  • ahahahahahahahaa this is fucken mean!! haha a bit funny asell but nice effort haha

  • haha this is awesome. great effort

  • mean maori mean much love

  • Hahahahahr GOOD EFFORT BARCELONA ! MUY BIEN <3

  • oh dear - but hey i think they scared themselves.

  • why was my coment deleted? who ever uploaded this sed that these ppl learnt this haka in 30mins, haka isnt sumin u can teach in 30 mins. this is disrespectful. all the non maori in the allblacks that do the haka have enough respect to learn the haka in the way it should be done. no disrespect to the ppl that r doin the haka im sure they did it the way in which they were taught. however who ever taught them this, shame on u!!!

  • Im maori through and through and i haka all the time...

  • hahahaha cool!! our Maaori influence has made it beyond our New Zealand shores!!! lol cool!

  • Hahaha it was like they were only performing to themselves...

  • IT WAS JEFF!, he's a maori

  • Mean Barca Mean!!! being Maori i think its cool that others do our haka!!! you dont see african americans getting their pantys in a twist cause we do a bit of breakin back in NZ or Cubans when we salsa, im in chile and people love to see me throw down a bit of Cueca (their national dance.) As long as its done with passion and respect Kia Kaha CHUUUUUR

  • yeah cool

  • terrible

  • nah i have to admit that was bit disrespectful in my eyes

  • Everyone should give these credit for trying to the haka the best they could ... its the all blacks and the haka is an integral part of the all black name inc nz.

Its the same situation when people right great music and heaps of youtubers do their own covers of it because they like the song. These people obviously enjoy the thrill of the haka so kapai. Im a kiwi and its great to see other people wanting to try our 100% NZ stuff.

  • Im Te Rarawa(Pukepoto) and Kati Mamoe(Stewart Island) Maori and Im proud to be a Maori and it awesome to see our culture being spread around the world. To much!!! Chur

  • pft?for all you maori, and kiwi out there, that think we should be ok with this are screwed in the head?!!!!!

  • I loved this.. this was funny as hell!! I am proud to be kiwi watching this and equally proud to be a maori. Our culture has stretched that far. EMBRACE IT PPL, THANK YOU BARCELONA!!

  • @NkTakZ pft?bro, your probably half maori?...bet the onli maori reo you know is 'KIA-ORA"..accepting this is like accepting a black man in to the kkk...shouldent happen.thats not in a racist way,i mean that in a cultural way.

  • @KiwiNzz Should we stop every all black that isn't full maori from doing the haka before a game? Even they aren't doing the haka properly at times. Culturally that should be more of an offence as it's seen everytime they go onto the field. I respect your opinion, but refrain from attacking other ppl just because you don't agree.

  • @KiwiNzz I think it is awsome our cultrure is getting out there now after our kuia and koro were oprressed from even saying kia ora.Do japanese look down on maori for being karate "experts" no havnt seen it so my advice to you is that you open your mind and your heart and encourage others to learn our ways ..i was once like you hated that pakeha were encouraging the very thing theyre ancestors condemned our people to do but these are new times..Kia kaha kia maia kia manawanui koutou

  • At least these white people are proud to look like they are maori.

  • Why the fuck R those "WHITE PPL" doin the HAKA!?!? SMH

  • I absolutely enjoyed that, for me as a maori women i am so proud that our culture is getting out there to the rest of the world, proud of you barcelona, you did well
