yes this gun will work for while with a lipo but sooner or later your going to have to change the spring and then it starts to beat up the gears. to much pressure for a airsoft gun my friends kwa m4 was destroyed after a year and a half because of that. but i would recommend to get a 9.6 volt and the gun will still have a crazy rate of fire
