Really nice song! Nikki French wasn't old, she was only 36 y.o. and quite impressive i.m.o. The whole presentation on stage reminds me a little bit of Imaani's back in 1998.

hm i think the song has a little similarity to this years entry and to some other UK songs. Nice but too cheesy melodywise, catchy yes but a bit too poppy. But Nikki is such a great performer and singer and of course she made the best of that rather simple piece of music.

Are you from the UK? So am I. You're right, sadly, but it hasn't always been the case. Acts like Lulu, Bucks Fizz and Brotherhood of Man had other hits after ESC. Even as recently as 1996, Gina G had other top ten hits after ESC.
