I was at the Que Club too (if we work hard enough maybe everyone who went along can drop a post here, kind of a resting place for old folks!). My memory of that most of that night is very very hazy - I always thought it was Rampling that played this - but I do remember the main room being washed by white light when this was on and the whole place going NUTS. It remains one of my favourite ever moments from those days and this tune is one of the very best....
lush, portrush, northern ireland. mid to late 90's, early millenium and still now if it was ever dropped: this tune is a bonafide lush anthem. reminds all who frequented the place from the start of good times. nice warren, boxing night 2003, i think, played this as one of his last tunes. such a moment. legendary record.

At 6:50 in the song the breakdown had a sample from an old Humphry Bogart movie added to it...The text ended with the words:" Get out of my way ,son, you are using my oxygene ".
No, you heard Tall Paul's essential mix where he used a few film samples through the mix. The sample he used in the breakdown on Odyssey to Anyoona was from Jack Nicholson in 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest'
Remember early 90s lots of djs used to mix bulgarian folk motives in their music >what you hear as a back voices is some bulgarian folk singing however sounds pretty well mixed
So emotive! One of my standout tracks of all time for me in the dance scene. Only equaled by the original version of Y-Traxx Mystery Land, in my humble opinion!!
I bought this album in cassette when it first came out, 'cause I didn't have a cd player in my old car, I was in college, I was poor. :( So many wonderful memories.
Dicker .-)) RIP.
I love this song Odyssey to Anyoona by Jam & Spoon, which came out in 1993. I made an extended version of this song. It lasted 17 Minutes 25 Seconds though - quite long. This song is a great classic!
