Thanks Tom. I think some folks get 'stuck' on a particular version which they like. The piece is a waltz after all, and waltzes are famously flexible of tempo.
@tomgamble100 Yes it does. However, i think that you have to speed it up only at the end of the first part. In the reprise, you should go back to the original tempo i think..

This piece has urgency built in, but the extra speed doesn't necessarily impede that, it's interesting.

Thanks for the observation! From some of the comments I see about 'speed', it seems people think musicality is generated by a particular tempo.

I remember learning this at school - I still play it now and then but I can't play it all anymore just the first 30 secs or so :( Stupid fingers.
